Liverpool Vs Manchester United

Torres has been a diving fanny.

He's gone down a number of times without the ref awarding a free kick - surely at some point he should book him for diving if it's no foul??

As for his other decisions, totally inept. Booking Evra was ridiculous and now it appears that any player who is challenged by Evra is going to go down 'injured'.

Berbatov didn't do anything wrong except get fouled (and got booked for the privelege). Yet Lucas can break up as many counter attacks as he likes without being booked.

Hahaha just did a Twitter search for "referee" out of curiosity. You would think it was only United players who went to the ref at half time.

wish fletcher was playing instead of carrick

he needs to up his game in the second half

we have to improve - and use valencia as much as possible - we look really dangerous when he is on the ball

Am I the only one who thinks Carrick has been very good?

The ref bailed out of the Berbatov incident at the end of that half. It was either a free kick to us, or a booking and red card for Berbatov for a dive.

Or, of course, the choice the referee made...do nothing.

Carricks been decent, if he had Anderson next to him he'd be even better.

This ref is pathetically weak. Almost every decision he's been made has been influenced by the crowd.

Torres seems to be under instructions to throw himself to the ground with the slightest contact and the usual suspects (Mascherano/Lucas) are geting away with their anti football clinic.

I hope I'm wrong but I can see someone going off in the second half either through frustration or incomptence on the part of the officials.

I can see Nani and Ando coming on after the usual 60 minutes

No, I think he has done well. I just don;t think he offers enough energy in matches like this. These are the matches that are made for Fletch. A couple of times when Liverpool were able o break, Carrick would just float back, no commitment in trying to win it back for our side.

rooney non existent

I think down to the lack of service, more than anything. Although he has given the ball away a couple of times.

I think either Nani on the wing, Giggs into the middle for Scholes...or Anderson on for Scholes.

Not saying Scholes has played particularly badle, but as been mentioned a few times, I think we need an injection of pace from somewhere.

anderson needs to come on and either scholes or carrick should be subbed.

they were dominating us in midfield a bit and look pretty impressive from the right...some close interceptions...

same for us on our right by Valencia.

We're playing very narrow. . .but when we get it out to the flanks(the right side as you've pointed at) we look a threat. We'll do them, though - I'm sure of it.

Evra looks worryingly nervous after the yellow card. I think Nev will replace him and oshea will play on left instead if this continues.

Valencia is crucial in second half. Need to put in some dangerous crosses.

thats what gets me about carrick - he sometimes has no physical presence

our midfield has been bypassed lots today tho with longer balls

Gary Neville will come on and make a difference combining down the right.

We've been good, same again for the second half I say, just a few things not coming off, some nearlys and almosts. One goal and I think they'll crumble.

Unfortunately I agree - based on the yellows the ref has awarded, there should be several players already in the book. Torres's main objective is to get people booked / sent off.

I hope Gerrard has a word with him, because I've heard he doesn't stand for any of this diving malarkey...

We've been sloppy, they've made the extra man in midfield count by harassing ours and they're playing as if there season depends on it. I expect a different second hand.
