To be honest, I always thought we would start with one up front, as I'd expect Villa to pack the midfield.

And if we were to go two up front, surely Owen would have deserved to keep his place.

Im delighted as it frees up Carrick to play in midfield and gives us two combative centre backs to compete with what i expect to be an airial barrage at times today...

As for Berba just dissapointed he never seems to get a start these days....we seem to be playing 4-5-1 every week now regardless of opposition....playing it away at pompey was probably the sign it seems to be here to stay...

Yeh, but it's also for fitness/injury reasons, we've got a better run of fixtures (Wolves + Hull) after this game haven't we, so I'd expect him to get starts
