Who else thinks Ramsey made the correct career choice choosing wenger over Fergie?
feckers
Ramsey's development is obvious, there is also clearly a difference between his quality from when he first joined Arsenal to now.

I dont see anything special in him.
The issue here is you think both us and Arsenal did everything possible and Ramsey simply choose Arsenal over us for whatever reason. The story at the time was that Ramsey was approached by Wenger, who outlined his plan for him and shown around the club and this was the motivating factor. And it makes sense. You're an 18 year old lad being courted by a lot of club, what's going to appeal to you as a footballer the most? Having the manager personally outline his plan for you, or hearing it from another player (who lets face it has no say on tactics or playing time?).
I might be wrong and the media misrepresented our pursuit of him, but it seems that while Fergie was on vacation in the US, Wenger was showing the lad around the Emirates and THAT's why he signed for them. Despite claiming that he was a united fan, and that he wanted to play alongside his idol Giggs he chose Arsenal. Their case of presenting him with a better footballing future was more compelling then ours, and if the story of how he was courted is true then i'm not sure i can argue he wasn't right to choose the team he did.
You seem to be defending our chase of the player and that's fine, but I personally don't believe we did enough to sign him. How much that hurts us only time will tell.
For 5 million he was a fecking steal. We should have done more. And yes, hypnotizing him should have been considered. It obviously wasn't...![]()
Remember Arsenal's hyped kids in 2004?
Where are they now?
Clichy's a stallwart at LB, and one of the best LB's doing the rounds.
Fabregas is the best midfielder in the world.
van Persie, when on the pitch, is not only scoring with ease but he's coordinating all our attacking moves.
and Sanderos is coming back from injury. Though he's shown when his confidence is up he can be a fantastic defender. Conversely he's shown when his confidence is down he can be a shambles.
Why even include Senderos amongst those players? Top player, top player, top player, shit player, is how it reads.
When he was around 21 he was helping Arsenal to a champions league final, and clearly when confident he can be good.
Why even bother talking about Anderson when anything good he did was 2 years ago?
Umm because this is a Manchester United forum....odd I know. Do you need to explain that more to you?
This is a thread on Aaron ramsey and a question was asked about Arsenal's 2004 youngsters... odd i know. Do you need me to explain that more to you?
Christofaux I don't think it was Alex that was making the poo-poo posts, in fact he certainly wasn't.
Yeah and and you were the one who brought up Anderson. Here's a hint, your posts appear to the right of your screen name, still confused?

I mean your Quincy Owusus and your Jeremie Aliadieres. We'll see how Ramsey ends up.
Aliadiere suffered injury setback after injury setback. When on form it was clear to see the kid had class.
Larsson is now a central player for brum as well.
Muamba's at Bolton. Quincy's at some Russian side, not that he got more than one or two first team appearances with us.
Larsson's at the Brum who're exceeding all expectations so far.
Form is temporary, class is permanent, therefore Aliadiere was never a very classy player.

Meh...like most teenage boys he chose the one who puts out.

It makes me sick that Arsenal paid £5million for Ramsey, while we payed £18 million for Anderson. And they got the better player.
Yea, I was choking on my vomit when we won the double with Anderson an ever-present in midfield. It's been pretty hard to take.
Not so sure about that comment, Ramsay while has shown great improvement this season still has plenty of improving to do. Though the same can be said for Anderson, haven't seen him play more recently but has looked a bit hit and miss at times.
Your double win wasn't down to Anderson and to call him ever present in that midfield is pushing it, Carrick, Scholes and Hargreaves were all clearly better than him that season.

Djourou is also around our 3rd string CB if he wasn't injured.
Then there is bendtner.
