Wolverhampton Wanderers vs. Manchester United

early start here in oz for this one , kick off is at 4.30 in the morning.......just hope we can finally capitlise on going top albeit having played 1 extra game....we have had a few opportunities to do so this season and im hopeful we can take advantage 2morrow and put chelski under a little bit of pressure...

will be a nervy game in my opinion......rooney in doubt doesnt help , but with rio looking like being fit and lining up alongside vidic im confident the defense can pave the way for 3 vital points

Is it destiny to think Darron Gibson will start against his former club, to keep Fletcher and Scholes fresh for Wednesday?

I wouldn't be surprised if Scholes was on the bench but i'd expect Fletch to start. Unless Fergie surprises us, starts Diouf and plays 442.

VDS

Rafael
Fabio
Rio
Vidic

Carrick
Gibson
Valencia
Nani

Berbatov
Diouf

Subs:

Kusz
Evra
Wes
Scholes
Fletcher
Rooney
Park

If things go wrong then I expect Evra, Fletcher and Rooney to be sent on to rescue the situation. Otherwise I imagine Sir Alex would like to get through the game without having to risk them. Diouf hasn't had much time on the pitch and could probably do with another goal for confidence. With Valencia and Nani providing width, he should get plenty of opportunities.

Okay, given new injuries/knocks that have happened, I think we'll go with:

--------------VDS---------------
Rafael-----Rio----Vidic-------Evra
Nani----Carrick---Gibson--Obertan
----------Berba---Diouf----------

Subs: PIG, Neville, De Laet/Fabio, Fletcher, Valencia, Park, Rooney.

Some of you are beginning to believe in this one man team crap.I have faith in what ever side is put out to beat Wolves.Going for 1-3.

This will be a very tough match.

McCarthy has a point to prove.

I think a draw is in the cards.

I was convinced you were right when I read that....

... but thanks for cheering me up.

Is anyone else easily swayed on match days?

On ESPN at least it's not another fecking stream day.

You say McCarthy has a point to prove but I think our fella's do aswell. They will show today no matter what team Wolves play we are still miles better and should have a good win today.

Were picking up momentum at a crucial part of the seasoon and a win today will set us up nicely for the Milan match. We need to kepp pressure on Chelsea and every match is so important at this stage

Rooney isn't in todays squad.

The lad who gave me this info has not yet been wrong this season.

It's Nani, Berbatov, and Valencia up top.

Source comes direct from the training ground.

Cheers, I'm hoping Nani will come back fresh now.

Good, we need him sharp and ready for Milan.

I'd expect Scholes to be saved for Milan, so Carrick, Gibson and Fletcher or Park would be my bet...

I'd guess at:

-------------------PIG-------------------
Neville-----Vidic----------Evans------Fabio
-----------------Carrick------------------
--------Fletcher--------Gibson-----------
Valencia-----------------------------Nani
-------------------Berbatov--------------

Subs: Foster, Brown, Evra, Park, Scholes, Obertan, Diouf,

Aside from Rio alongside Vidic, think this will be the line-up.

Good if we could get get Fletcher off after an hour.

3 points - no injuries.

Important for confidence that we dispel this myth that we are a one man team. Good for Berbs confidence to get a goal or two.

I'd like to see Fletcher and Evra being rested. If we get a two goal lead, I'd be hauling Rooney off also, whether he likes it or not. Fletcher needs a rest, he is vital for Wednesday.

I'd like to see the Diouf make an appearance you just have to feel that with Nani and Valencia's on form crossing he'll get atleast one or two very good opportunities to score.

Would like to see Diouf but Bebra up front with Nani and Valencia on the wings should be good enough.

Berba up front alone... big game for Berba then... Has it been confirmed that Rooney is not playing?

442 would be nice but we wont even have a striker to bring on them. Will Macheda be fit enough for the bench if Diouf starts?

Give Diouf his chance, 4-5-1 without Rooney leaves me thinking this game will be a slog.

Here is a comment from a sour blue I found on MEN:

.........................Van der Sar.........................

Neville.........Ferdinand...............Vidic............Evra

.........................Mr FEFEREEE......................

...........Gibson...........Carrick...........Scholes........

..........Valencia..........Berbatov............Nani.........

...................Mr OWN GOAL..................

MY PICK FOR MANURE I KNOW THERE IS 13 BUT ITS THE SAME EVERY WEEK

SUBS: Foster, Brown, Delaet, Fletcher, Park, Rooney, Diouf, Flukey

Not the worst team we could play :P
