Quite difficult to predict a line-up for this one, but I think there is a good chance Rooney will just appear on the bench for this one. I'd go for something like this:
Rest Neville, Rooney, Park, Fletcher and Valencia for the mid-week game and give Nani a game on the right. Not sure about Macheda/Diouf myself, but Diouf hasn't done much to convince me so far. Definitely not going to be an easy game, we needed a moment of magic last season to beat them at the Reebok...

Just checked Physio room, both twins are not on the list so should be healthy. I would aslo go for a similar line-up with Berba leading the line and a second striker introduced if need be.
Is Rooney fit or are there some problems with his knee? I remember reading something. If fit, SAF will have a hard time to keep him out of the line-up but a substitute appearance with a goal would be nice.

It doesn't just work like that. What if we experiment and Bolton get the lead? They'd park the bus. Having decent subs on the bench doesn't mean we are necessarily going to turn them over all of a sudden. feck the experiments. Keep the experiments for the summer or for dead rubber matches. We need to win, simple as.
If Rooney and Fletcher are rested, I'd much rather see us playing Macheda than Diouf if we were going 4-4-2.

Every team every week is a gamble. We are just playing at team building here, not second guessing Fergie's team, that's a pointless excercise.
I've built mine, you build yours. I like mine and it's what I'd like to see, plus it rests Evra for next week. All this kerfuffle just because Evra's not playing. Really. Should be worrying more about the unproven Machedas and Dioufs up front.

Macheda has managed a few mins as a sub for the reserves over a month ago; that's practically the only football he has played in 2010. So he's a long way from being fit enough for the first team. By the middle of April he may be in contention.
Agree with the suggestions that Rooney is unlikely to start. I would imagine he'll be sat on the bench in case we need to risk him.

2) to avoid banana skin , go strong,but remember about Bayern AND mainly ROBBEN. i would recommend:

4) If Rooney is fit , play him, if he is doubtful , give him a rest. Hopefully he can make it against Bolton.

I'm surprised how few people want to rest Rooney. It would be better to let him rest his knee because he must play Munich twice & Chelski the following week. Its a real pisser that Owen got injured just as he was coming good for us, he would have been perfect with Berba here, but can't be helped.

I'll explain this to you. We are coming to the business end of the season. It is a very tough match away to our close neighbours. They are going to kick us off the park. It is not the time to be experimenting.
