I agree in principal except one thing.
This upcomming situation (loosing Judas 2.0) is a make or brake situation for the owners. We need to invest in the summer, at least 3 major (starters) signings to compensate the lost of Rooney and Ronaldo. If we don't do that then I agree 100% with you.
The days of talk is over. If the Glazers are serious is time for real action.
I completely agree. Its time for the Glazers to put some cold hard cash into the squad. None of this "nett spending" bollocks.
Open the cheque book and show us the colour of your money.
There is one big problem United are going to face, and this is a situation that no one yet seems to have put into the frame.
3 years ago we had Ronaldo and Rooney. The two most wanted players on the planet. Ask any manager which two PL players they would want to buy and they would have been top of every managers list.
Then go ask every player who they would want to play alongside, and the reply would be equally as equivocal.
Now United have lost their two most important players.
What world class player is going to want to sign for United, knowing that the club has let go, the two hottest properties on the market.
With the ownership problems, and high profile players not wanting to stay, then any world class player looking for a team to go to, isnt going to be overly impressed at the ambitions of a club who have managed to let two of the best players in the world slip through their fingers.
Players coming in will want to see some ambition, some drive and most of all commitment that the club will be able to attract the best in the game and take United forward. I think Fergie will have a struggle convincing top class players of this.
