Incorrect. Youre not playing.

Why isn't Rio even in the squad? He said he was looking forward to playing today. Another knock?

If we don't win tonight, I'll suck Elvis' cock.

No Scholes then, Scholesy?
Hmmm... Good point. Not that we'll get an update from Fergie, mind you. Doubt he'll get to say a word about tonight's game in any interview.
I'm quite happy to see the Fletch-Carrick-Ando trio in the middle, as long as Anderson pushes further up the field. What I'm not happy about is combining that with a very out of form Park on the left and Macheda up front by himself. I rate Kiko highly, but he's not ready to be one of only two real attacking players in the entire team (along with Nani obviously). There needs to be another proper attacking player in there.Official:

Interesting line-up. Potential for Ando to actually be behind Macheda, and Nani with a bit of a free role switching flanks with Park. A lot of similarities to our "442"s while Ronaldo was here.
Scholes is 36. Fergie will utilise him in the league games against <7th opposition. This midfield of Carrick, Fletcher and Anderson is Fergie's first choice in my opinion, because of their fitness and its balance - Carrick holding, Fletcher right, Anderson left. Park is always preferred in big games and Nani is our matchwinner - our only one tonight, which is worrying.
I wish Fergie would just be more positive with his player selection. Playing Obertan or Bebe rather than Park would likely give us more of a spark. The game could be slow paced and awful.

Stoke Saturday - going to get bombarded with long balls / high balls - we'll need him fit.
It's like a beefed up CC line-out.
I wouldn't be surprised if Fergie is playing Nani through the middle and Fletcher down the right (or Anderson down the left and Park on the right).
Whatever formation we start with, expect Nani to pop up all over the place.

With Rooney off, could we see Nani's role be modified a bit now? A constant threat between midfield and attack? Unless he's man marked for the whole match, he could prove lethal if he perfects that role.

I don't see what's so wrong with him saying that, to be honest. I was just thinking before I read his post that we're likely going to be completely reliant on Nani to give us that something extra in the final third. You don't half talk rubbish at times do you Scholesy? Nani's our only match winner tonight is he?
Bless him i bet hes hardly had a nights sleep with all the shit going on, i hope the players do it for him tonight as much as anything.
