Yeah. I can honestly see us coming out with a statement tomorrow saying he has been placed on the transfer list.
I reckon send him on loan somewhere.
I'm sure we could find a spot in our "A" team in Bray Wanderers

I cannot see how there is anyway back now, the damage is done
Man United boss Sir Alex Ferguson: "I haven't read Wayne Rooney's statement, but we'll have a view on it tomorrow and probably put it to bed tomorrow. As I said, the door is open. We keep good players, particularly when they are that young. He wants assurances? Have I won 30 trophies or what?!"
Exactly. How Rooney can grow up in the era of United dominance and not realise we create world class players rather than buy them is beyond me.
PS. I know it's really about ££££££££££££££££££££

Surprised he didn't find a way to blame Berbatov for all this.Apologies if this has already been posted, interesting nonetheless.

While probably still sleeping with more prostitutes.Sadly we have suffer the git and pay the traitor for over two months while he sits at home apologising to Colleen for sleeping with prostitutes
A very talented kid from Mexico.
Good. The moment it was announced he wanted to go and it become apparent what he's playing at, I stopped thinking of him as a United player.
I really don't want him here anymore, I wish he could be gone now.

Who has more goals than the fat scouse cnut.

Who was the last genuinely world class player we bought?
in his defence, what ambition have the club shown since getting rid of the BPITW and Tevez? We signed a £7 million pound unknown and a kid from Mexico. So purely from a football perspective, his comments are valid.

Two sides to every story, let's not vilify Rooney and venerate Ferguson when we've only heard one side of it. It doesn't surprise me that a player of Rooney's ability doesn't want to commit himself to a long term contract with a club which is clearly declining. He's no real reason to have loyalty to United, certainly no more than he had to Everton, so it's not surprising that he wants to move to a team which actually wants to buy good players, and has a good chance of winning Europe.
Everybody always says 'Oh have faith in Ferguson, he is building another great side, it is another cycle', but what everyone seems to have missed is that Ferguson is 69 years old in 2 months time, and he has said categorically that he will not be the manager when he is 70 years old. Even if he does carry on after this season, he's not going on much longer, and the current side isn't close to greatness. I don't think this is due to money at all, it's due to a lack of ambition on the part of the club.
In the same vein, why the feck should Rooney sign a new contract?
Yes. It sounds like that if a club intends to buy him, they can get him on loan first, then buy him when the transfer window opens.Brazil was saying this morning that he could be sent on loan immediately to any purchasing club.
Can anyone clarify this?
Rooney
When we go rid of Beckham we bought an unknown Portugueezer and Kleberson for £6.5m and Djemba Djemba for £3.5m
Seriously some people live in a FM world don't they? including Rooney. ..Since the galactico era and the age of the sugar daddy, some fans seem to expect us to be collecting World Class XI's like a video game...
We certainly aren't in the best position financially but to throw a tantrum and feck off like he has, 6 months after saying he'd stay for life...psschhhh...feck the little cnut. Some people are incredibly fickle.
And the fans saying "he's right, where are the signings"..You're as bad as Rooney. Fickle fairweather fans. You would've exploded in self righteous indignation if the Caf was around in 95 when all the kids came through.

Can't say I disagree with anything he says . Lack of investment in the squad shows lack of ambition . We seem to be happy picking up freebies and untried bargains most of which are nowhere near United quality . The squad is the poorest I can remember for a long time . Although I agree with what he said I still believe he's away for more money and to get away from the British press and not the reasons he stated .
Thanks for the memories Wayne
Loan to City tomorrow with a deal announced for January?
I look forward to Sw33t's coprophagia.
As much as I hate Madrid(and I do, a lot) I'd rather him go there than City. Why on earth would we loan him to City right now? Why would we even sell him there let alone loan him right now.
Come on Madrid!

I think SAF is (perhaps unconsciously) implying that he will be here for a few more years atleast and that in itself is enough ambition for the club.
Rooney was not really world class when we signed him though was he
Rooney was not really world class when we signed him though was he
signing the 'very talented unknown kid from mexico' is not in anyway an assurance that we are attracting/signing the best players.
Which I think was Rooney's point?
All im saying is, his points in his statement were valid, and anyone of the squad could say the same thing and it would still be valid.
People are assuming he is a money grabbing whore, despite SAF stating that the money part of the contract negotiations werent reached.
How can his motive be money, if he didnt know how much we were gonna offer him?
I dont buy the money motive, and im not naive enough to believe he is a martyr here, im sure there are lots more factors.
Interesting:
SAF: "We don't want it to become a saga, we have the team to consider and tomorrow will be the end of it. Important game on Sunday."
