Manchester United v Liverpool

Just makes Fergie's team selection that much easier. Hernandez is on a good run and he has yet to start a big game for United. Give him the service and he could run the dippers ragged.

So are you suggesting he play on his own then?

Rooney will be there, pretty sure of that. He was in a worse of situation before the Bayern game at home and he made a 'shock' return then. Classic mind games.

Have a feeling we're going to lose this.

Big game raising cnuts look at this match as the highlight of their otherwise pathetic year.

2-1

Torres (3)
Rooney (88)
Berbatov (90)

After Berbatov scores the winner the camera shows a Liverpool fan in shock gradually going into the Patrick Stewart facepalm expression

They always give us a good game so i'm not expecting an easy game despite their terrible form.

2-1, possibly 3-1, us grabbing a late goal on the counter.

Just got my hands on tickets :D

Got sorted yesterday, where about's in the stadium you in? I'm pitchside either North or South lower. Atmosphere should resonate around the stadium hopefully as I didn't get my usual ST2 ticket.

Fergie said yesterday he won't make the same mistakes with team selection as he did against Leeds.

Good news.

In that case I'll say the team is:

Amos
Brown, Smalling, Evans, Fabio
Obertan, Gibson, Carrick, Bebe
Rooney, Chicha

Don't trust anything SAF says in the press.

We have a massive chance to hammer another nail into their coffin. I hope we play our strongest side available but I reckon Fergie will have one eye on Spurs away.

It could be a special day on Sunday.

"It is an important trophy so there is a strong desire to get our hands on it," Ferguson told Inside United. "We haven't won it since 2004, or been to Wembley in the final since we lost to Chelsea in 2007. So we definitely want to get back there. And we want to win it.

"It was a bad result last season against Leeds, especially considering the rivalry between the two clubs. In hindsight I could have picked a stronger team. I won't be making that mistake this time."

Pitchside south... same as you, not where I'd opt to sit, but feck it, it United Liverpool!

I have a feeling this is the season we will do the double or maybe even the triple over Liverpool given we beat them this weekend.

I hope Rooney is rested. Don't want to rush him back from an ankle-injury, it didn't work too well last time.

According to the club website, there is no problem at all with Ferdinand, and Fergie is hopeful both Rooney and Van der Sar will be available. I can't see Rooney being left out if fit.

Their cup final and hodson's last hurrah expect the Torres / Gerrard axis to suddenly rediscover its form.

Think we'll win but it wont be easy especially with 9,000 scousers making a hell of a racket.

Think we'll snatch it late on.
