What the feck does it say? I tried over an hour ago and got a "log in" page, which is still there.

That's so bad you're almost tempted to think it's not a 'Pool supporter. I mean how could an actual supporter stoop to that shit? It's reads like a bad WUM more than it does something a normal human person would say...

But then this is the site where they write love poetry to Rafa Benitez, so you never really know.

I think the second one has this suicidal guy that had a taped rant on youtube after the Northampton game.

That's fecking vile. People died, you fecking muppet.

I hope they banned this stupid fecking prick. Losing to Blackburn is not the same as 96 people losing their lives, you utter and complete mentoid!

Shows how truly removed from the club some of those 'fanatics' are over there, I'd love to see those who were theres' reaction to that.

That is shocking.

I'm sure the Liverpool fans who were there that day, or whose late family members were, would fail to see such a trivial situation in the same light and I would hope and expect most people would be the same.

When Shankly said that football wasn't a case of life or death, and was much more important than that I severely doubt he ever imagined that nutters like this would take those words so literally.

A slightly off topic question to older fans.

Did our supporters have similar levels of hate and bile towards Fergie say before THAT cup tie against Forest?

As a fan having grown up in the early 90s I've never thankfully had the need to be opposed to the man in charge.

Hard to gauge as there was no internet/forums about in the 70s. But I don't ever remember reading about massive protest against our managers in the years between Sir Matt and Sir Alex. We experienced much worse than the Dippers when we were relegated while the worst the Dippers have experienced is mid-table existence in the Premiership.

It's a different ball game now.

The difference between the haves and have nots was never as stark. Not back in the seventies anyway.

Valid point but I think it also has something to do with the fact that no club previous to Liverpool had achieved the level of success as they had and many of their fans (younger than 40 years?), have not known anything other than continued success and consistent good results. They've never experienced the emotional roller-coaster that the average football fan has experienced ie living in hope at the beginning of each game but more often than not, experiencing disappointment. The average supporter is well hardened to poor results. The average Liverpool supporter is not.

But success is relative and so are a fan's expectations.

Kinell. In what galaxy of English football is Liverpool a have-not?

More about support and the difference between finishing the league near the bottom of the table or relegation as opposed to the all consuming death sentence it has now become. Back then it was horrible but didn't have the same implications, financially or in the fans minds as it does now.

Of all the things I have read by Liverpool fans this has to be by far the worst thing ever written.
How anybody can compare Hillsborough to losing a few games of football is just sick even for some of the muppets on RAWK.
The idiot that wrote that pile of crap really does need professional help and quickly.

I'm not easily offended by any stretch, but Christ sake I'm disgusted that any sane human being could compare losing to Blackburn Rovers to Hillsborough.

Does anyone have a link to the reaction for that post?
