I expect that team to start. Possibly Fletcher in for Anderson would be the only selection dispute and obviously depending on the fitness of Rafael and Ferdinand.

Playing Rooney anywhere other than up front in a 442 would be wrong going by his ineffectiveness playing on the flank lately. He won't play himself back into form being stuck on a wing. We've been awful in the 451/433/4312 formation this season, I can't see why anyone would pick it over 442 at the moment, especially at home.
 
A mod should rename the thread, not as easy to tell it's a match day thread from the main page. Elvis you spacker.

You're probably right but I just think we should attack them rather than try and play a patient build up game. They annihilated for an hour at Villa Park but I think they are there for the taking and we could easily get a decent win from this game if we go for it.

Exactly. No badges. The opposition team not given their full name. It's that kind of sloppy behaviour that costs titles. Back in 2008 you would never have seen such a poor matchday thread attempt.

I don't know what date it is today and I certainly don't know day of the week Feb 1st is without checking. I'm sure I'm not the only one who clicks on the next match-day thread so I can see what day of the week it's on and whether or not it's televised. If you can't be arsed including basic information like that, leave it to one of the many people who can.

Never mind applying common sense, the problem with this thread is a lack of application, full stop.

The next four league games for us a hugely important, if we take take max points it'll hopefully provide enough buffer for what looks a pretty tricky run!

Just when I thought I could rely on this forum to get an exact date and time for our next game, which I'd rather do than finding it easily in the world wide interweb, then elvis went ahead and let me down. Typical.
 
I have always thought the matchday thread nazis were a bit ridiculous but I am going to have to agree with them this time.
