Manchester United v Crawley Town

Good line up but was hoping for Pogba or one of the youngsters to be drafted in ahead of Gibson.

feck thats a strong side. Poor Crawley. SAF really doesn't want a replay does he.

With the set piece vulnerablility I was worried it may've lacked a bit of height outside of the keeper and centrebacks, but Gibson, Carrick, Bébé and Obertan should provide a bit.

It wont surprise me if Gibson plays wide and Bebe plays as a striker

I'm glad Carrick is in there alongside Anderson, those two can own the midfield.

Not sure what Gibson's role will be though, either a bit of a free role outside their 18 yard box (SHOOOOOOOOT) or right sided midfielder with Rafael overlapping him.

I guess that will depend who gets the inside left role between Obertan and Bebe.

That was never going to happen, Ferguson has no reason to keep Gibson out of this game.

I see what you mean but playing Pogba in a midfield of Carrick and Anderson would have been great experience for him.

Lets hope he is on the bench...

Despite all of Bebe's goals coming from the right and him playing there the majority of his Utd career?

Give up you spastic and troll somewhere else.

Who's that aimed at :wenger:

And Gibson scored in his last match out, no reason to leave him out either, particularly when United have one upfront and two central midfielders who aren't reknown for goalscoring.

If Gibson has another bad game then surely that's him done for me.
Just doesn't seem to have gotten better in the last few years.

He should really dominate in this match and give a good account of himself.

Last chance saloon??

And if he scores the winner or multiple goals and has a good day, people will still think his United career is finished.

If Carrick, O'Shea, Anderson and the rest have bad games, they're not done are they?

its a very disjointed side, bench option in case anything goes wrong?

The difference is Anderson, Carrick have done okay over the last few weeks whereas Gibson has continually failed to impress.

The only game Gibson has had over the last few weeks has been a solid performance for the Republic of Ireland in which he scored the breakthrough goal in.
