If he wasn't so injury prone he would probably be one of our best players. Every season he has an excellent un of about 5-6 excellent games, then picks up an injury and takes a few games to get back to his best. Big shame but that is a common stumbling block for youngsters.
This is a fair point but it's worth noting that his form started to dip before he got his most recent injury.
feck it though. He's played a lot of football for us but he's still a young player. Young players are inconsistent. There are loads of examples of really top central midfielders who didn't achieve or maintain any kind of consistency until their mid twenties.
