We will need plenty of milage to contain Arsenals excellent movement and I think they will be well up for this as well as play very well ... as essentially, they have nothing to play for so all the pressure if off them.

I'd play a tight counter attach sttategy til about 65 mins, and then bring on the likes of Valencia and Hernandez.

Would be happy with a win .... I think Arsenal will score .... so who knows.

I reckon 2-2 but likewise, if we score early, no reason the floodgates wont open and we serve them a battering.

No chance Giggs will play. He will be fully rested a week till next home game against Schalke I think, or maybe even for the home game against Chelsea.

I'd expect Nani & Anderson to come back in, with Carrick also playing. Park got a rest today which shows he's going to feature on Sunday, alongside the pea.

I feel Fergie's team selection will depend on Chelsea's result against Spurs. If the result is positive for us, he will gamble, if they win, we'll play at full strength.

This is the team I think Fergie will go with regardless of the Chelsea result, this will be approached with the usual mentality of going for the win.
 
I think formation wise, Fergie will send that team out play similar role today. With Rooney dropping deep and park providing extra help in the middle.

Pea will rape them.
 
Interesting to see what team people would go with for this, 4-5-1 with Rooney leading the line has worked a treat in hammering these on the counter, Fergie ALWAYS plays a 3 man centre midfield to, but with the form of Hernandez and Rooneys amazing form playing off the front it would be hard to change id have thought.

We all know Sir alex likes runners against Arsenal, high energy players who get up and down the pitch well, hence the Fletchers and Parks are key men for this fixture.

dont think Fletcher has even played in a reserve match. though he may not need to. he was ill not injured.

but Fergie did say he may be ready.
think Anderson will be a cert.

He has been very effective in the matches he has played since he came back.

no pressure on Arsenal. We will have to win the match to keep the momentum going.
 
Arsenal couldn't win a raffle right now, we're in peak form at just the right time with close to a full squad on a ground where weve raped them on our last 2 visits, even though a draw works for us i wouldn't take one right now, we're a much better side than them.
 
this is a must win in my books. we need to put the League to bed and really prepare for the CL. Heck if we are needing points against Blackpool, I'd be damn worried about the Final.

of course all this assumes we dont get beaten at home to Schalke. ;)

Not underestimating them more having faith in us, we're playing brilliant at the minute and they're playing shite, they're out the title race and mentally screwed, theres no way id accept a draw right now given where the 2 sides are at both physically and mentally not to mention the fact we are just a better football team.
 
Here we are nearing the the finish-line... United confidence has to be at an all-time high, whilst the Arsenal foundations are cracking all throughout.

Hernandez, Berbatov and Rooney combine for a 0-4 win.


More than anything... Hoping for a traditional Fergie-Jedi-Mind-F*ck. :angel:

Fergie hasn't pulled a Real Madrid Mind-F*ck for a long time... Maybe talk up Nasri by suggesting that he would be a great addition to the United squad. :p

I don't think we should be scared of Arsenal dominating the midfield. We just need to be defensively disciplined and do what Sunderland/Blackburn/Liverpool did and sit back but use our superior players and hit them on the counter.

Even if they go a goal ahead stick to the same plan because Arsenal will carry on trying to come at us.
 
Kill, kill, kill, we should just go for it and drive Wenger over the edge.
 
Really really looking forward to this game. If we play with anything like the same tempo and flair we did against shalke we should more or less wrap up the title at the emirates. Bring it on!!
