Barcelona - a lot of moaning about them and some praise

Mod probably deleted, but when people see some of the bizarre posts in here where lads are failing to mention Madrid as per usual as if they have some affiliation with them. (I can think of a reason why)

People would realise I was spot on.

Is that your idea of a clever witty argument?

With that kind of logic, you can't argue your way out of a wet paper bag, laying on its side, with a hole cut in it.

Please stop before you embarrass yourself so badly that no one ever takes you seriously again.

People would realise I was spot on.

You probably made a fair point but picked on wrong persons for become Real Madrid fans, I even posted my earlier posts regarding them but you for strange reason ignored them and continued on your own pathetic agenda.

And also it's not different from how you post about Barcelona.

Madrid resorted to the same tactics when they realized Barca were taking it to another level. No excuse for it but, the way the game was going, if they hadn't at least done their fair of cheating, they would have ended up with 7/8 men on the pitch because otherwise the ref would have thought there was only 1 team out there playing "rough".

Boss, if you would take off your Messi underpants (just wear a towel instead for the sake of decency please) for 2 minutes you would recognize what a complete and utter disgrace that club is from top to bottom.

You are one of their biggest apologists on here, and it is embarrassing.

You're in love, we bloody get it.

"Ohhhhh, Messi, he's a little genius, Son of God (spunk spunk spunk spunk) Mes Que Un Club, Space Aliens from the Heavens to Teach Us All Football (spunk spunk spunk spunk)".

For the record, I find Madrid loathsome before you play the same pathetic fanboy game you did in what - had it not been deleted to spare your blushes - was a shoe-in for one of the most embarrassing threads of the year.

And I like you and defend you when your name is brought up as a waste of space.

I know Barcelona are a disgusting club, their antics have ruined many matches for me. The worst was their meetings with Chelsea, especially with Deco.

In 2006/07 the game at the Camp Nou in the group stages absolutley shits on this match when it comes to cheating, diving and rolling.

I was even willing Inter on because of it last year when I started that thread about how Busquets should not prevail.

but how are people going to sit here, and not mention Real Madrid?

That's what I don't understand, they are just as bad and played God awful football at home at the same time.

and you could guess which posters would be defending Real before even looking into the thread and you all know why.

The thread was hideously embarrasing but there's no doubt there was an element of truth in it.

Not clever, not witty but 100% true.

Some posters act like they've been personally insulted if you mention that Madrid are just as bad.

Replace football with genocide, and Boss' argument goes like this:

Boss: You decried Hitler's campaign of genocide while talking about Nazi Germany. I see no reference to Stalin and his murders. Clearly you are a communist sympathizer.

(Cue showing him your voluminous writings on the crimes of Stalin.)

Boss: That only makes it more curious that you wouldn't mention Stalin's crimes when writing about Hitler, doesn't it? I seem to have stumbled upon a Pro-Stalinist apologist agenda here.

(Rinse. Repeat.)

I'm being honest, I haven't seen this game so in no way to comment about this actual game but I have seen Barcelona play several times and I will say this; they play nice football and have three or four of the ten best players in the world right now including one in Messi who is in potentially the top ten of all time.
I have seen Barca install less than attractive tactics in the past (including recently) and are definitely not the best team the world has ever seen as some suggest, but I will say there seems to be a major over-reaction to Barca due to their ill-tactics from tonights game.
Are Real themselves innocent of this? From what I'm led to believe, they didn't create any chances so they can't blame Barca's tactics too much for that can they?
Real have played dirty in the past too, as have Inter Milan, Juventus, Milan, Arsenal (the other 'saviours' of beautiful football) have been atrocious in the past, as have poor old Chelsea who might cry wolf with these penalty claims from two years back and let's face it, United in the 2-0 win over Arsenal in 2004 lamped Reyes off the park as a stalling tactic which certainly worked in beating a very good Arsenal side although it wasn't the best example of sporting behaviour from United.
But yeah, a massive over-reaction from most on here it would seem about Barca being some sort of evil entity because whilst they're no angels, I've not heard much about them being snide little devils in recent times either...

Maybe because if you were to take your MessiMania out of it you would discover they aren't, or not historically.

This is simply what Barca do. It is their MO.

You seem to be the one who can't handle being called out as a Messi********er, and so you're lashing out at United fans an pretending that as loathsome as Real are that somehow they have the same habits that Barca do.

Barca in the last 4-5 years have taken it to completely new heights.

You would have to be a teenager in love to not see that.

I welcome you to the Real Madrid fanclub Jason.

Another thing about Real is they are vile because of historical things like Franco, etc, so there are all sorts of checks and balances to consider in the which-is-worse stakes.

Right now in recent times (say the last 5 years) Barca are the worst cheaters on the pitch. They do it as a specific tactic.

Yup, definite team strategy. No way is their reaction to every foul/decision spontaneous.

It is a strategy that is working too, and they've faced absolutely no backlash for it.

6/7/8 players including Valdes will storm right up the ref almost every chance they get....I can't remember the last time VDS ran up to the ref in the middle of the pitch to argue a call.

Pepe Reina for Liverpool does this too.

Just watched a replay of the game

Not looking forward to the final should we get there what with the whole Barca side surrounding the ref every time Rooney or Scholes even so much as brush past one of their precious players. Heaving forbid on of them get a bit of a graze on their socks.

I welcome you to the Real Madrid fanclub Jason.

I like Boss a lot (possibly more than most of the other mods), but he's doing my head in not seeing that his admiration for admittedly one of the greatest players to ever play the sport has prevented him from judging the situation in a neutral way.

He knows he has a thin skin (that's why we rib him, like the Gay Posts thread), but he still can't see that his bias and his thin skin are combining in an embarrassing way here to really create a perfect storm where he won't back down or leave the situation he created for himself all because he's clearly been festering over perceived slights towards him and/or an athlete he admires.

Boss, you're doing this to yourself.

1) you're not capable of seeing this one in a remotely neutral/rational way
2) your attempt to settle scores/save face is backfiring worse and worse as time goes by

Time to chalk it up to the alcohol and pack it in.

I have no problems being called a Messi anything. Go ahead
I'm just telling it how I see it.

I've been watching Laliga for many years, why should I pretend Real are not in the same camp?

Barca are massive cheaters but so are Madrid which people are conveniently ignoring this in a match where they were both at it.

Di Maria is argubally the biggest diver in LaLiga finally edging past Iniesta. He openly celebrates when he wins pens comparitively to Marcelo vs Spurs when Crouch got sent off.

Even refs in LALIGA are starting to not give him freekicks because of his dives.

for every Busquets,Alves,Iniesta there's a Di Maria, Cristiano Ronaldo and Ramos.

Last night everytime Real got the ball they tried to con the ref, unfortunetely for them they couldn't see enough of it.

You're acting like Barca being bigger cheaters than Real is a fact, it's not, it's an opinion.

You should watch this match. because it is not a massive over-reaction. It was perfectly acceptable to condemn some of their players antics. Its not that madrid were innocent. overall, from a neutral perspective, we were robbed of a performance.

That's why, I'll say it now, my heart tells ms that without a miraculously strong ref, we'll get done should we make it.

We'll be too afraid to play football or get a sending off, and it will give them the space they need so everyone can cream over "the little midget boy genius".

Barca are the better team, and I would be unsure about our chances against them even on a level playing field, but with the deck stacks against us(or anyone that faces them), I give us no chance.

Oh well, the PL was the title I really want/wanted this season, but losing 2 finals in 3 years will definitely hurt :(

I will be watching it tonight when I get in mate as I was cream-crackered this morning and didn't fancy getting up at 4.30am when neither are my team and I don't doubt what any of you say about Barca being dirty or unsporting in this particular game but to all now say they're the dirtiest team of all time seems like a massive over-reaction in my opinion due to a) no-one was saying this en-masse prior to the game, b) there is a wave of understandable anti-Barca sentiment due to the fact most have realised we'll be playing them and c) many on here are proper Mourinho bottom-botherers...

There are opinions, and there is comical RAWK-like denial/bias.

I'll give the benefit of doubt on that one for now. :D

Fans are fickle mate; I'd like to swindle you into believing that I now see myself as quite subjective in my thinking these days, which sometimes I genuinely can be but at the end of the day, I'm not as subjective as pretend to be.
I do give my honest opinions about our players which seem to annoy many posters on here despite many of them holding some valid truths but ultimately like most, I pick my guns and I stick to them.

No, I'd agree Johnno. You're very very subjective both on Mourinho and Berbatov.

See, I'm unsure if you're being sarcastic or not here brother Jay-J.
Ever the pessimist, I assume it's the former.
Do you think I'm unfair with my critiques of Berbatov in particular? Even though there's plenty of mainstream pundits, journalists and other posters beginning to see things about him the way I do?

Too true. If it was any other poster posting that, it would be a) like an adult and not some 12 year old typing nonsense b) driven by reason and not fanatical obsessive emotion noone else could care about and c) either having not named anyone or naming the correct people rather than those based on a personal agenda.

So yeah, all in all an awful embarrassment of a thread. Well, at least it gave us someone else to laugh at apart from Pete. :)

When you thought that play acting and acting like twats on the pitch couldnt get any worse, there is always Barca to take it to another level

When you thought that play acting and acting like twats on the pitch couldnt get any worse, there is always Barca to take it to another level

It was just horrible. Made me feel sick watching football for the first time. Not that Madrid were saints, they too did their bit to contribute to it. Basically last night was a great advertisement for the premier league.

I would like the UEFA to introduce a new rule, cutting out this type of play-acting.

Whoever needs to receive treatment on the pitch, is only allowed back on it after two minutes.
A player needs to be carried of the field (like Alves last night), is allowed back on the pitch after four minutes and not straight afterwards.

This is one way of trying to get rid of play-acting and cheating, which goes on, especially in the last minutes of the matches.

Madrid fanboi.

Yesterday was a horrible match in all honesty, all the hype surrounding the match was defeated by Mourinho's refusal to attack and Barcelona's playacting.

Mainly just teasing you because you meant to say "objective", and you said "subjective", which is the opposite.

I do think you're unfair and over the top, but that's for another place. It was just a joke about getting the word wrong!

It was painful on the eyes. Basically there was a lot of cheating last night and sometimes a little football in between.

And to think retards were saying Barca vs Real was the real final....if that was the final, I'm glad people got their moneys worth :lol::lol::lol::lol:

Heh

Imagine paying a fortune for THAT.

I feel I deserve to be paid to have sat through that.

Irony.

Like I said, it stings at the end of the day, because I was spot on.

The thread was Embarassing, Hilarious, but most importantly true especially when it comes to posters like you.

You were soooooo defensive aswell, you and especially Cina, if it doesn't apply to you why dominate the thread. Surely you could ignore good ol crazy Boss with his theorys.

I was having a right chuckle my self reading through it, especially at Cina. It really hit him hard.

Funny because more than anything everyone was having a chuckle at you.

I have nothing to be defensive about apart from United. As I said, fanbois like you are hard to ignore. You come in to threads fuming as if personally insulted so of course I'm going to point it out, it ruins the forum. I do the same with Cal? and FV whenever I feel like it, but they are hopeless cases. You can be improved IMO.

If United would face Barca in the final, I hope the lads stay very focused and just get on with business, leave all that shit to Barca. But in a final, that will be hard, Rio could be crucial with his calm influence.

I wish the press and football fans would critisize Barca more often for that

improved to be on the 'HalaMadrid wagon like you?

a hypocrite that dominates every laliga thread?

Nah dawg, I'm good.

By the way, has Marcelo's stamp on Pedro been mentioned in this yet? :wenger:

Rather than indulging in it I'm more concern how we're going to become a victim of it. I can already see their players hovering around the ref everytime Vidic puts in a tackle.

The feck is dawg you clown?

Improved to being more neutral. More like the rest of us and less like Cal?, FV and co. who you've clearly matched now.

What does hala mean?

It probably hasn't. Both teams cheated, both teams were disgrace, Madrid also deserve more than a mention. Who did more and who did less is subjective. But the football fan surely lost.

That tackle was pure thuggery IMO, no place for that in football at all

Honestly I wish we humiliate whoever gets to the final. For one of these wanking sides to win the Champions League...
