Nobody can deny that it is a risky line up mainly at the back because we have no organiser swap Rafael for Fabio (who are almost the same player) and that is the defence that got raped by West Ham United in the League cup. Think they are good enough to get through but Schalke needed to come at us and that line up will give them confidence if they get a early goal we could have a few problems.
SAF never said Owen would start, by the way. Play yes, start no.

I reckon even Fergie, hand on heart, would admit to taking something of a calculated gamble with this side. He obviously feels it is absolutely imperative that Chelsea don't have a physical edge on Sunday, in the way they had last year. It's a risk, albeit a worthwhile one.
if schalke play as bad as they did in the first leg we´ll be fine but if they score the first goal i can see our defence getting in a bit of a panic.

I won't lie, the back 4 being completely changed is a worry.
not made any reference to the Arsenal game i just stated that the line up especially in the defence is a bit risky may pay off for us but anyone who doesn't think that we are taking a gamble based on the previous performance by these 2 centre halfs playing together is deluded. But they are talented lads so if we get the first goal i am sure they will be fine.
Oh and Arsenal are a better team than Schalke so still not to sure what the point was there.

Norwegian TV just interviewed Schalkes norwegian physio. He was in the wardrobe when they got Uniteds team sheet. He said the players felt provoked by the weak team and really want to have a go.
