Gerrard, Meireles, Lucas, Henderson, Shelvey and Spearing.
That's a great midfield.
And Adam possibly.
Would piss all over United's midfield
Delusion is a terrible thing.

They're really annoyed that Bruce is looking to spend 'their' money (Henderson fee) on some of our players

If Rooney doesn't leave them this Summer, then it'll only prove that he's bigger than the club after all, and that Ferguson has totally bottled this one. Threatening to leave mid-season, demanding double his wages? If Ferguson lets him get away with that, it only proves that Ferguson knows the money isn't there for an adequate replacement were they to sell him.
I get the feeling they will bottle it and it will be Berbatov who leaves.
They are pretty sure they have an unlimited cash to spend. They reckon we have over-payed for Jones and possibly resulted in a dent in our limited transfer budget. It would be hilarious reading over there should we end up outspending them this summer, after all the hype over their new owners and how much they're going to spend added to their continued insistence of us having no money it would be highly amusing reading all their excuses, they've seemingly already begun![]()

Do they have a thread about us?

I would say our midfield is still better.
Carrick, Fletcher, Anderson, Giggs, Jones, Cleverly (if he doesn't go on loan again).
And, we could still possibly sign another midfielder before the transfer window closes.
We could do with another midfielder, a very very good one
If things go as expected and Liverpool do end up spending what they're being quoted on the players they're after having spent 35 million on Andy Carroll in january then they will have spent close to the 90 million mark on the following players:
Jordan Henderson
Charlie Adam
Stewart Downing
Andy Carroll

Pool are spending some serious dough.
Pool are spending some serious dough. I still expect them to make a few signings yet which can take their expenditure to a rather high total and would fully expect them to challenge next season. Something tells me they won't though..bar Suarez however their signings have hardly stood out.
Henderson is a bit of a pointless signing, when you consider they have the likes of Spearing and Shelvey to perform the role that he does. Spearing especially was coming into his own in the later part of last season, why stunt his development for someone who isn't really much of an upgrade in terms of the job they do? Could have spent that money on recruiting a top-class CB which they desperately need since Carragher's legs are going.
They've always been big spenders. Only City and Chelsea have spent more than them in the Prem.
But what about net spend?![]()

I love their thread on Phil Jones, they are all wanking over the prospect of signing him on Page 1 then things get a little bitter when the news breaks that United are close to signing him
Enjoy:
Phil Jones
Locking a thread because they were spurned is a bit immature and Orwellian. Luckily for them, Ferguson won't be gazumping "King Kenny" for Clichy, Downing and Adam.
Spearing was a strange one. I was convinced he was utterly awful and then Dalglish turned him into something useful.
“Journalists made a fuss about me nipping in for Glenn Hysen when Fergie was about to sign him. That doesn’t create rancour; that’s business,” he wrote.
“We are both going for the best players. Sometimes managers of PLC clubs like Manchester United cannot spend money quickly.
“They have to get permission from the PLC board. If United’s wheels move slowly, that’s no concern of mine.”
