They're really annoyed that Bruce is looking to spend 'their' money (Henderson fee) on some of our players

What the...:wenger:

In that thread, Dippers are using this bid to push their "United have no money" pipe dream, figuring this is how we'll pay for Jones. So now they're moving on to "explain" how we'll pay for De Gea:

Either Berbatov or Rooney will leave. If Rooney doesn't leave them this Summer, then it'll only prove that he's bigger than the club after all, and that Ferguson has totally bottled this one. Threatening to leave mid-season, demanding double his wages? If Ferguson lets him get away with that, it only proves that Ferguson knows the money isn't there for an adequate replacement were they to sell him.

I get the feeling they will bottle it and it will be Berbatov who leaves.

You heard it here. If Rooney doesn't leave, Fergie has "bottled it". :wenger::lol::lol::lol:

Yeah just read that myself, they really are amazingly bitter aren't they i mean to levels you couldnt really describe to someone other than to say go see for yourself, who breeds these people never mind lets them loose onto the internet?

I love how us potentially selling a few squad outcasts somehow means we have no money again hence how the Jones deal was funded  they're so determined for us to be in financial turmoil its almost as if theyve got their finges in their ears repeteadly making la la la noises, i mean how dare we sell players we dont need! disgraceful by the club clearly every club who sells a player has no money! the levels of pure idiocy on that forum is astonishing it really is.

Just another intesting point on all this needing to sell to buy tripe from the rat eaters, didnt their new owners fund their mega money moves for Andy carroll  and Suarez via selling Torres for 50 million in the first place? does that mean they indeed had to sell to buy? hehe

It would be hilarious reading over there should we end up outspending them this summer, after all the hype over their new owners and how much they're going to spend added to their continued insistence of us having no money it would be highly amusing reading all their excuses, they've seemingly already begun :D

They are pretty sure they have an unlimited cash to spend. They reckon we have over-payed for Jones and possibly resulted in a dent in our limited transfer budget.

Thats scousers for you, youd think theyd have learned from the previous regime not to assume bottomless pits of money, i remember vividly all the loud mouth rat eaters back in 07 boasting of 100 million warchests and world domination whilst ridiculing our owners, didnt work out to well for them did it.

As for overpaying on jones, they're just jealous weve beaten them to the deal, they were all raving over him as little as 6 hours ago and wetting themselves over him joining them, all of a sudden hes overpriced!
ironic coming froim a fanbase thats just watched its club spend 35 million on andy average carroll and soon to spend 20 on Jordan henderson.

Didn't Man Utd let Pique go because they had Evans?

Pique was always gonna go back to Barcelona, and he's not better than Vidic or Ferdinand.

I love their thread on Phil Jones, they are all wanking over the prospect of signing him on Page 1 then things get a little bitter when the news breaks that United are close to signing him

Enjoy:

Phil Jones

If things go as expected and Liverpool do end up spending what they're being quoted on the players they're after having spent 35 million on Andy Carroll in january then they will have spent close to the 90 million mark on the following players:

Jordan Henderson
Charlie Adam
Stewart Downing
Andy Carroll

:lol::lol::lol::lol:

18 months ago ago you could have signed all of them for not much more than £9m.

Liverpool exist to be ripped off for average players.

Twas ever thus.

Pool are spending some serious dough. I still expect them to make a few signings yet which can take their expenditure to a rather high total and would fully expect them to challenge next season. Something tells me they won't though..bar Suarez however their signings have hardly stood out.

Henderson is a bit of a pointless signing, when you consider they have the likes of Spearing and Shelvey to perform the role that he does. Spearing especially was coming into his own in the later part of last season, why stunt his development for someone who isn't really much of an upgrade in terms of the job they do? Could have spent that money on recruiting a top-class CB which they desperately need since Carragher's legs are going.

Spearing was a strange one. I was convinced he was utterly awful and then Dalglish turned him into something useful.

Locking a thread because they were spurned is a bit immature and Orwellian. Luckily for them, Ferguson won't be gazumping "King Kenny" for Clichy, Downing and Adam.

They do it all the time, the mods/admins lock threads that makes Liverpool look a bit silly. I've never known such a cult-ish kind of forum, it's quite scary actually.

different players. Spearing is more of a holding midfielder, which Henderson is not.

It looks more like Shelvey might get pegged back. Both are forward thinking central midfielders who can play on the right. But then, I thought Shelvey might benefit from a loan before we moved for Henderson. He needs more games than he has had so far in his career.

Yes, we're rattled by a team that finished 6th and over 20 points behind us.

I think its more likely they're all a little upset that Jones basically told them where to go in favour of a move to us, after number 19 these slaps in the face just hurt that little bit more.

I love scousers during the silly season.

“Journalists made a fuss about me nipping in for Glenn Hysen when Fergie was about to sign him. That doesn’t create rancour; that’s business,” he wrote.

“We are both going for the best players. Sometimes managers of PLC clubs like Manchester United cannot spend money quickly.

“They have to get permission from the PLC board. If United’s wheels move slowly, that’s no concern of mine.”

One advantage Fergie has always said having the Glazers as owners provides.
