Zaha is going to be a star. However this Lingard fella is looking tricky and technically gifted.

Pass there from Zaha... Shame Welbz couldn't put the cherry on top.

Yes I am. This is the Australian league all stars you know. Let's wait until we see him in the Premiership, BIG step up especially coming from the Championship.
I think he'll be fine. Ability to go round a man won't suddenly get harder, it'll be things like decision making that will change.

It's not just about opposition though. He's looking like our best player in this game, playing alongside experienced Premier League players. If there was a gulf of quality between him and the rest of the squad, then he'd look lost out there. He's slotting in very well and looking the part. I'm not expecting him to be Ronaldo or anything, but he looks like he's got what it takes to be a very good Premier League player.
It's a fallacy that people like to spread. You think the majority of unknown foreign players that get brought in are playing in leagues of PL quality? He'll be fine.

He's playing against the same opposition as the rest of our team, and doing better than most of them. That is the only salient point.

Raf

It's like he's playing a champions league final

Did you watch him in the Championship? What did you think. He was not amazing at that level. Nobody is doubting he is a talented player we already know that, but I wouldn't judge him off a game like this. He is playing with better player's against a weaker team. I don't think Nani or even Young should be looking over their shoulders just yet.....

Welbz should've absolutely walloped that

Maybe you should start watching netball then, you might have a chance of knowing what you are talking about

So your looking at him to stand out like this every week? Be serious.

I don't doubt that I just don't think are more experienced wingers should be worried yet.

Ahh a reply that justifies your point or aids the discussion thanks for that.

Decent watch for a pre-season game. I'm sure it'll turn to shit at some point in the second half with the subs.

Is there a reason why Crerand repeats everything he ever says? "Danny's hurt himself there, he's hurt himself there Danny".

Lingard's really staked a claim in this first half. Yes, its only an exhibition team he's up against but considering how rubbish our wingers were last season he deserves an opportunity to demonstrate he could do this in a proper match for Man Utd.
