Wasn't a red card... I hope Stoke appeal. Sorry for Ramsey though, hopefully he'll come back from it
I hope Stoke appeal just because it will make Wenger go insane.

At least Sultan is being honest.
He has no reason to wish that Ramsey becomes one of the best players in the world. He said he hopes he comes back, but as a United fan he has no wish to see Ramsey be a world beater, particularly given he snubbed us.
It might seem a bit inappropriate to say that hours after he has suffered an injury, but at least he is being honest.
Calling him a cnut is a bit unnecessary. If Ramsey hadn't been injured, there would have been no problem with Sultan saying that he hopes he doesn't fulfil his potential. Why should there be now? Should we all suddenly want Ramsey to become awesome because of an injury? The same reaction didn't happen to Cisse, Cisse again, Smith, etc.

Getting a bit silly this thread now.
Everybody has a differance of opinion , not really any need for the infighting.
These were my exact thoughts. I even commented opposition fans would hardly want Hargreaves and Anderson to come back better players. Peter actually agreed with my sentiments.
I personnaly find the lack of slow motion replay disrespectful to Ryan Shawcross in this instance. Surely we should be allowed to make up our own mind on his intent or more likely lack of intent on this issue?
Are there any decent slo-mo replays available at all?
If there are, I am yet to see them, and they certainly haven't been posted on the Caf.
Ramsey has had a successful operation on his Tibia and Fibula. He'll miss the rest of the season.
No, Peter of last night agreed with youHe clearly wasn't his usual self last night.
Breaking News on SSN: He had successful surgery on his broken fibula and tibia.
Good luck to him.

Wenger is saying he wants action taken against Shawcross. Out of order i think, wasnt a bad challenge, he showed serious regret and distress at what had happened and i think for wenger to come out and critiscie a young player for this is wrong, especially for someone whos been in the game as long as wenger should no better.
Where's the link? (im actually seriously asking, not trying to make a point)
After seeing some of the comments of the "Journalists" on Sky Sports' Sunday Supplement, I actually think that they haven't bothered to watch the incident again.
For Patrick Barclay to claim that the challenge was unacceptable and that his foot was high is outrageous. He claimed that the tackle was out of control, WATCH IT AGAIN YOU feckING IDIOT.
He went to kick the football but it had been shifted the kick that was meant to clear the ball got the player (its not clear that it was even his foot that caught the player, it may well have been his shin) What does he want? for a player to give up on a ball and let his opponent run clean on to the football?
For someone to be paid to give his accounts of a game when he has such basic lack of understanding of the events is just a damning indictment of sports journalism in this country.
It wasn't even a tackle, it was an attempt to put his laces though the football. The fact that he caught the player was a complete accident.
Injuries happen. That's football.
The likes of Scholes and Gerrard have done worse tackles than that over the years but fortunately for them they've never broken anyones leg
His own plahttps://www.redcafe.net/editpost.php?do=editpost&p=7658375yers have made worse tackles and not that distantly in the past

It wasn't even a tackle though.
I feel for Ramsey but I'm not sure what you're even getting at Pete. Shawcross clearly didn't go into the challenge looking to injure Ramsey, and he was clearly as distraught as anyone when he did. What exactly do you want to have done about it?
Ban Shawcross forever because he was unlucky and your manager is too much of a nutjob to accept it?...there's no point taking Wenger's view seriously. He seemed to be using the incident to support his own agenda/paranoia about the whole thing being part of some giant evil conspiracy against Arsenal. It's a bit embarassing to be honest, not to mention out of order. Everyone can see and respect the gravity of the incident, except for Wenger.
It wasn't even a red card offence, really, and the only way you're going to eliminate the risk of it happening again is by banning people from kicking the ball when doing so means moving their foot off the floor. Good luck with that.
Also, we'd need to ban really hard shots aswell, since one of them broke Alan Smith's leg a few years back.
Fagregas is a real idiot.
why cant he ever shut the feck up.
How do you protect players from accidents like that , it is part and parcel of a contact sport.
Nobody is to blame.
Some of the comments by Arsenal fans on this page are just way off the mark.
Fabregas is a player who hates been tackled. He seems to think that he should be allowed to roam the pitch at will with nobody making an effort to stop him. Look at the way Wenger gives out about Fletcher. Fletcher is not a dirty player but gets stuck in a puts in a few tackles and stops other teams pissing all over United. Wenger hates him. I'm guessing Fabregas does also. Fecking pussy.

Its a shame Fagregas is like that to be honest , I think he is a class player and can turn a game on its head.
He should just stick to playing and leave the rest to others
If same thing happened to Rooney, I am sure many of us will react the same way. Not saying what they said was correct, but it was understandable.
As for Fabregas, well after witnessing few of his teamates suffered from horrible injury (Eduardo, Ramsey etc), it was understandable he would have bit of complain there.
