"I’m looking forward to meeting my new team-mates and to be playing for Arsenal in the Premier League and Champions League."

They haven't qualified yet mate.

Arsenal will sign him for around £35m after the World Cup.

If this doesn't happen, temp-ban me a week.

Gauntlet thrown...

Much like how you lot were nailed on to sign Hazard.
Did that source pull it out of his arse after this match? Or you "knew" about it all this while and were waiting for a more opportune moment to let us poor caftards know.

 just like when Pete said you'd sign Fabregas

Not a surprise that he has cropped up after other retarded Arsenal ITK on twitter have chimed about a deal being close.

Also, if this proves false why not ban him permanently?

I wonder how one earns the title of being a "big Arsenal ITK"?

I suspect it involves spending an awful lot of time talking inane bollox on the internet. To whom should I send my cv?

:lol::lol:

Great signing for them, the kind of player who'll bring the best out of Ozil with off-the-ball movement.

I don't get what he is expecting. They're a big club of course but not exactly going places.

So Gooners....how will you lineup next year ?

Good signing. Though he probably takes up Walcott's role in the team while also being more involved in attack and setting up others. Does Theo move up front or to the opposite wing or to the bench?

Walcott----------------Sanchez
--------------Ozil--------------
--------Wilshere-Ramsey-------

Not bad.

I'm just glad he didn't go to Liverpool.

I'm sure that won't be an issue. Does this hurt, Barney?

Excellent signing IMO. Really suited to the premier league.

Atleast he isn't playing for the dippers.

With this signing, it becomes clear that we desperately need a BIG signing. All our rivals are splashing the cash on excellent players- Chelsea got Fabregas and Costa, Arsenal got Sanchez, Liverpool will most definitely reinvest Suarez cash and City won't sit still. We need Vidal. Now more than ever.

I was wondering this too - Sanchez or Walcott playing up top as with Ozil, Walcott was getting onto the end of his passes more often than not before his injury. I'd have them all in the side but i'm unsure as to where would be best to play them all with the other players Arsenal have.

They are ahead of us unless we bring in more quality. They are direct rivals for 3/4 along with Liverpool (forget 1/2, that's between those oil rich mans play things). Need a Vidal or Di Maria signing to make up for this now.

This shows a very dislikeable side to you, Alastair. Nobody likes a blowhard.

Good signing for Arsenal, he'll do well there. I don't mind seeing Arsenal strengthen, they're a proper club.

Even if their fans are absolute whoppers.

Shit player. Never wanted him at United.

Seriously though it's a quality signing for Arsenal. But that's how we talked of Ozil last summer. And look how that turned out.. :wenger:

I didn't want him anyways... :wenger:

Seriously though, if they get Bender for defensive midfield and an actual striker they'll have a brilliant midfield and attack. Defence is pretty good too. Ozil was their first proper world class signing last summer, now they've got another one who is still young too. Think he'll add loads to their attack and overall game, if he's given the freedom which I'm sure Wenger will give him.

In the face of doubters, I came up trumps, and I'm going to show off about it forever.

I would have thought

I think Barca will miss him. Lots of fans didn't want him to go.

As others probably pointed out, at least he didn't go to Liverpool.

I'm sure that won't be an issue. Does this hurt, Barney?

Absolutely. Arsenal have done brilliantly with Ozil and Sanchez. Their rivals lose their best players and they have gone and picked up those two due to that.

Rosický will bench him anyway, no need to worry..

my god thought this was not happening, arsenal signing a top player? where do we live?

In the face of doubters, I came up trumps, and I'm going to show off about it forever.

Pah. He's nothing compared to Liverpool's signings Can, Banana, Lambert and Butler.

On Origi, Lallana, Lambert, Markovic, Can, maybe Shaqiri, Ben Davies, Bony, Lovren... Loads of either young with potential or just average players. Without Suarez, I'm not worried about Liverpool. They can of course challenge for the top 4 but with the champions league to contend with, I can't see them doing anywhere near as good. They just look average all around.
