Alexis Sanchez, Arsenal Player

Fantastic signing for Arsenal, could be one of the signings of the season.

Very surprised more clubs weren't in for him.

Great signing.

Not sure why Arsenal fans are comparing him to Luke Shaw though, claiming we paid £34.2 million for him.

He's just handed in a transfer request.

Couldn't give a bigger feck if I tried when they signed Özil but this is nothing like that. Gutted that they've gotten Sanchez. If he rejected us, then no Champions League has definitely bitten us the ass here, as much as anyone on the Caf tells you otherwise. If we weren't in for him, then I'm convinced we've made a huge mistake.

This in a Barca team that had a bad season and wanted to get rid of him, when he wasn't first choice all the time... Just a brilliant little player IMO and Barca are making a huge mistake selling him for Suarez only to put him out on the wing to support Messi probably.

Good business from Arsenal, he'll be a better signing than Ozil.

Hopefully our sights are set on somebody even better for the wings. Di Maria would do nicely.

Hopefully it won't be Kuyt in a shopping trolley pushed by van Gaal.

Unfortunately I think suarez will be a much better player for them than sanchez was, even if he Is on the wing. He is a better player.

I think he'll be better for them too but in the end, they're spending 75million for a player who will play second fiddle to Messi like everyone else, and rightfully so really. Suarez I don't think will be nearly as good as he is for Liverpool because he won't be the main man, won't have the team built around him. He'll play out on the wing and will just be one of the 11. We'll see how it works out but I don't think he's going to be a huge success really. Like I think he'd do much better with you lot, up front, rather then out on the right flank for Barcelona where he will probably play, with Neymar on the left and Messi through the middle.

Great signing for Arsenal, I must admit I'm a bit Jealous!

£30m is a fecking bargain as well, gutted we didn't get/want him.

Well lets just say I'll probably put a large-ish bet on them :D

That said, they still got the whole injury issue to sort out. Which they might have with their new physio.
They've got many issues that cost them the title last year

Pleased he's not gone to the scousers but still gutted he won't be coming to us, quality player.

Great signing for Arse. I am looking forward to watching him play.

Brilliant signing for the Arsenal.

This is bullshit... he is gonna be so good for them.

can't believe we miss on him again. Arsene must have said the right words to him in Brazil + the pressure from Barcelona to quickly sell to fund their next transfers.

shitty news

I just don't understand this second fiddle nonsense. Do you know how many chances Messi creates for Sanchez/Pedro et all? Dozens and dozens of on the platter chances to score every season and the two (sanchez moreso then pedro) just feck it up. The fact that Sanchez hasn't been more successful or productive is his fault alone.

To be fair i think Sanchez is a quality player, just one that doesn't fit in Barca's system or La liga's style of play, all his incredible talents he showed at udinese, his speed, agility and dribbling, looked absolutely fecking useless when he was playing with barca. This again is no one's fault but his own, i've seen him geniunely try to do things on his own, trying to take the aggressive route on a 2 vs 1, trying to go down the wing, and he just can't fecking do it, he always seemed to just lose the ball or trip over himself.

With Chile he's always been class, so i really think the league is the biggest reason he hasn't succeeded.

Suarez is so damn predatory, so damn physical, and so good at creating something out of nothing, that unfortunately even if he plays out wide (hell, he's played largely as a LWF for most of liverpool's season second fiddle to sturridge even) that a Suarez on the end of Messi pass seems like a genuinely lethal combination, possibly the best combination since henry-eto'o-messi.

While Ashley Young, Valencia are United players, just cant have it that Arsenal has better winges than us, something needs to happen.

They have a better defense (marginally) and midfield than us. How different 3/4 years make.

Nice. United will sign him after he acclimates to Premier League.
