Anderson

If we take our United glasses off. At the moment Lucas is the better player. He's been consistent for Liverpool over the last two years and he's done well to get into the Brazil team when Anderson can't get anywhere near it.

Anderson potentially is the better player, but he's not shown it, at least consistantly yet, for him to be classed better than Lucas.

You're wrong, as has been pointed out. The only thing Lucas has over Anderson at the moment is consistency. And it's not as if he's consistently good. He's just consistently average. Rarely terrible, never amazing. Anderson is 10x more talented and he's starting to put it all together. It won't be a contest by the end of the season, although those deluded twats at RAWK will still feel the same since they don't actually watch football apart from Pool games.

It's one of the worst Brazil team ever btw, and Lucas gets the "Kleberson" role, previously occupied by great players like erm.... Kleberson. Seriously though, who is Lucas challenging for that water carrier role compared to who Anderson is up against?

Well, Anderson is up against Ramires...it's not like he's up against Ronaldinho. It is a crap argument though, absolutely agree. You don't even have to look at England, there's enough examples in that Brazil team - up until this summer Andre Santos was starting ahead of Marcelo, I mean come on.

I can't understand why the Sky commentators were suggesting it's not good sportsmanship to do that, even the Arse PIG was laughing at Ando's antics and he wouldn't have saved them anyway.

This lad has got better game by game. Ran the show. Immense.

He's taken it to a different level this season. It's all finally starting to come together for him.

I think he was a player who needed Scholes to leave to take the next step. Now he has been given the keys to the big red Ferrari, and he is ready to drive.

Nice chip pass to Welbeck for the first goal. So happy to see him on top of his game this season.

im loving Anderson, very mature displays and is balatantly the main reason as to why Rooney scored the free kicks

He's developing into the player his early talent indicated he has the ability to be.

I'm very pleased with the progress and I still believe he's a way to improve yet.

Same here, the potential in the lad is incredible.

He is also fit and lasting the whole 90 minutes which is an added bonus. Hopefully he can stay fit for the whole season.

Was on track for MotM if he'd stayed on - great performance again though. He's going to save us a shed load of money not having to buy Sneijder.

If he keeps this up I'll have to eat my words about his lack of incisiveness and creativity.

Knowing Anderson, he'll be happy to eat them instead of me though.

You can't help but like him. What he was doing with Chesney for the free kicks even had the keeper himself laughing.

Him and Cleverley seems to be working really well in tandom. It is interesting because we are playing without a holding midfielder for three and a half games and we have done brilliantly.

He's looking good and if we can keep him involved, then obviously his fitness will improve more and he'll have his best season with the club. He's enjoying it, they showed him with Cleverly pre match in good spirts and we have good mobility at the minute. If they can contribute goals great but I think there is an unpredictability there which is a bonus for us because they can both carry the ball forward and run off the ball. Hopefully he can steer clear of injury, build on his form and break back into the Brazilian squad as that'll help his confidence and maturity as well

If anyone has a gif of the 2nd rooney free kick from behind the goal, i really think Ando blocking the line of sight worked brilliantly

Another good performance today, really taking up a leadership role I feel. I hope he can stay fit and cement his place.

They also said he should be sold and he was useless, will they ever learn. Gibson over Anderson eh people?

Really? that must have been before I joined as I've barely seen any positive posts on Gibson, let alone ones claiming he was a better prospect than Anderson.

I saw that last year, and people bashing Ando made me laugh. A lot of people here said that Gibson was as good as him. Can you imagine that ? fecking hell

The lad just needed some to build his fitness, spectacular player.

That is even mild. We were assured he is best at left back. Plus never good enough to ever be able to hold down a first team place for us.

I'm loving it at the moment, all that arguing over the last 2 seasons defending the lad and telling everyone to be patient, well now I'm gloating. The best bit is as well, the lad still hasn't reached his potential yet.

Nobody said Gibson was a better player. I remember some comments about picking Gibson ahead of him when Anderson was playing badly. I don't think there's a single United fan, anywhere on the planet, who thought Gibson was the bigger talent of the two.

Its a continuation of last season. When he played last year in the 2nd half of the season he was excellent too.

I have rarely got involved in this thread. For me it has always been obvious he is a top quality midfielder

He has barely put a foot wrong in this calander year
