I think we all have made a few howlers, even those perceived to be the very best posers on here.

You can dig up old threads and find some shocking stuff on every poster on this site. For me a concept quite a few people don't grasp is this.... In football our opinions change all of the damn time, because the performances of players change all of the damn time. So many don't live up to expectations even when it seems they are nailed to do so. Consistency in football is the hardest thing. Some players who look awful become beasts overnight. I mean ffs, Sir Alex called Dong the new Batistuta.

Players can be hot one second, and find themselves playing in the K league another. We can't predict this, but we try our best.
 
Heh heh, ah, I found that one but didn't think it was it, I thought it was a Chief original thread, it was a highjacking...

I remember tons of people here being upset when Newcastle seemed to be picking up every good young player in the country - Jenas very much included - around 2001, 2002, with Bobby Robson as manager, wondering why we weren't looking to get any of them.

I have no issue with people changing their mind, that's natural. I do have an issue with the Chief acting like the oracle on footballers and his ridiculous assertion that not being sure about a player is akin to calling Fergie a fool and his overly aggressive way he deals with people disagreeing with him. He's a characiture.

It didn't say what you remember. I can assure you. I have never said left footed penalty takers are better than right footed ones. I said something else entirely.

O'Shea as a fullback who beat people with skill rather than speed, yes. Never looked in any way, shape or form like Ferdinand. Although he always wanted to play CB

Jenas looked like he was decent at everything and was scoring some nice long ranged efforts. O'Shea should have been young player of the season not him
