Anderson

Exactly. There was a good period during Dec/Jan when he was absolutely fantastic in all our home games. Valencia, Brum, Rovers, Arsenal. And then Fergie started dropping him.

He was unfit, said he felt his knee, then he's form started to drop and you can clearly see he wasn't running like his usual self.

Wise choice to give him a rest and hopefully that will pay off and he's comeback will be vital for all 3 trophies.

Exactly the thing he gives us that no one else in the team can do in midfield with true class on the ball, bar Giggs. And even Ryan doesn't have his power. Those runs through the midfield, on his good days, are huge and turn matches our way.

Yeah they are his strongest asset for me. Along with his the terrific way he uses his body to shield the ball.

Basically pace power and energy, he is a top class.

If he can improve his decision making and concentration he will be one hell of a player. and those two skills usually come with age and he is still young.

If Anderson can start doing this in the First team, we don't need a midfield signing.

We definitely do no matter how many goals he scores.

What we dont need is someone who is going to come in and replace him in the lineup. We need someone who has enough defensive game to be able to play next to him

Problem was, on away matches he was as long as the rest of them. Started successive away matches against Birmingham and West Brom at the end of December/start of January, and after that he was on the came or came off the bench in for a while, with the odd start, until his injury.

When he's on, he's on, when he's off, he's off. And while on form his place in midfield should be assured, you never know what sort of Anderson you're getting on the day. That's the problem, aside from fitness issues. You could get a performance level 10, or a performance level 3. There never seems to be a steady line of 7s and 8s.

What is it 14 or so months since his ACL tear, knee is probably healed up pretty well now, should see the best from him coming down the stretch, which as a fan of United and a fan of Anderson I would really like to see.

I hope he doesnt go to the copa america. We need him to have a whole pre season with us. Hes barely had a single pre season with us since hes joined

Bebe

...strangest transfer ever

He's usually good for the reserves I think but that was pretty useless from him

One day we'll either look back and wonder how we got him on the cheap or we'll wonder why on Earth we wasted 8m on this guy. Right now it's definitely the latter.

Loan out next year I hope.

Are you kidding, he was born with the right to do that, he is Brazilian

I was not impressed by his Ronaldinho pass either. That strikes me as arrogance, and he has not done enough to be an arrogant player yet.

But yes, it was a good performance by Anderson. I think he has displaced Fletcher on current form. I hope he can continue to play well.

Was taking the piss out of that comment Alex.

Good to see - hope he plays Saturday. Owes us for the display at Fulham away last season when we were playing with Fletch/Carrick in defense - he wasn't particularly good that game but, had played a whole bunch of games in a row as well.

Love Ando - stay fit now and you will be a cracking player.

He won't play on Saturday as now is only Sunday and with knee injury he'll be given time to recover.

Spot on.

Should be starting tonight ahead of giggs let alone scholes and Gibson on the bench!!

Did you watch the game last week? Or the 3-0 game just a couple of years ago, alongside your boy Fletcher.

Giggs has excelled against Chelsea.

I fancy there's a good chance he'll take Giggs' place in the middle in the coming weeks.

You're not talking to me are you? I'm just stating what I see as very likely, Anderson's energy will see him play more regularly alongside Carrick in the closing weeks of the season I was merely telling the guy who posted before me that he wasn't being an idiot at all. It's no slight on Giggs whatsoever to say that we can't set up as gung-ho as we did tonight when it gets really tight.

I'm clearly talking to All 3 United.

You unbelievable twat.

Go hang your head in shame and don't even bother celebrating this victory.

Calling me a T*** on the caf is comical, to my face a totally different matter. Get a vocabulary and a brain you neanderthal.

Mods, ban request.

Mods, ban request.

I'm afraid that's not how Redcafe (or indeed most internet forum) works. If everyone who used the word twat was banned, there'd be very few of us left. Besides, that's not how you're meant to address the mods. You seem to think they're some sort of e-waiters.

What you're actually meant to do is click the little icon to the left of the offending post that has a exclamation mark in a circle. What that does is "reports" the post, alerting the moderating team to it.

I wouldn't bother though, because as I say, calling someone a twat isn't really grounds for a ban.
