They were both shite against Leeds. Anderson may have been marginally better in your opinion but I would disagree and the fact he stayed on the pitch, while Anderson got the hook tends to support my point of view.
Form is about more than one game though. Looking at their last few games, Gibson has put in some decent performances, while Anderson has put in one performance in which (according to you) he was less shite than Gibson. That's without even getting into all the nonsense about Anderson not turning up for training etc. Fairly obvious which one of them deserves to travel.

The substence of your posts were all about Gibson beeing better than Anderson this year, which in my eyes isnt true, but that's a matter of opinion, and that has nothing to do with antipathy, I dont even know him...I just don't rate him or better his appearanced for us this season as highly as others on here do.
You should at least know that you can't talk about a player's recent form when he hasnt played a consecutive game for us for months. So why still insist on that? So comparing them on their recent form isn't possible, you can only draw conclusions about how they performed generally this season and I don't think Gibson was better than Anderson overall.
Not to forget those speculations about Anderson doing stupid things off the pitch that might have pissed Fergie off.

What I (and presumably datura) am talking about is their most recent form (i.e. their average form over their most recent run of games). This is not the same as their recent form. None of us have a clue about their actual recent form, apart from whoever watches them on the training pitch (when Anderson bothers to turn up, that is)

I don't personally think Gibson has a long term future here, but he'll be a good Premiership player.
No one knows exactly what is going on with Anderson. There was no official word that he even went AWOL.
What we do know is that he was scheduled to appear for the reserves recently and the game was called off, happened twice now.
My assumption is that he was both - told to play in the reserves before getting back to the first team and he asked to play in the reserves to get back some form.
Think it was the friendly England against Brasil time that he played in the reserves (and scored) and found some decent form. He could do with with a reserve game or two but, the weather has f'ked him over.
We'll probably see him back in the first team once he gets a chance in the reserves.
Yeah ninny who wrote that - doesn't make much sense. Mainly my point is that he is in the doghouse (whether it is over AWOL or overall performances) and given a told to prove his worth and him stepping up and outright asking to play for the reserves as well to do it.

No. I think Fergie wants him to play a couple of reserve games first, but since they didnt play for some time, he wasnt included lately

I don't believe it happened, but there's no definitive evidence either way.
What are you on about - I said in my post that no one knows as there is no official word on the whole thing. How can I write anything as fact when I have no direct quotes or interaction with Ando or SAF or anyone else there. All of it is just opinion based on what's been written and the team selections.

As far as who do we give credit to, unless you are really naive, it stands to reason that Anderson is currently on the outs with SAF. Highly improbable it is an injury issue since he is fit enough to be named in reserves squad.

On a serious note, we are an injury to a CM away from a crisis just because Anderson's been banished to Coventry. That's my beef.

I am. He's behaved like a complete brat if what's alledged is true. The punishment doesn't fit the crime though if we are going by previous misdemenours by United players IMO. But that's just my opinion, Fergie's opinion is the one that counts.
We all know Anderson is in the reserves due to poor form and skipping camp. He also hasn't had any real chances recently to change the manager's mind because reserve games have been sparse. Question is, why is his absence from the first team squad still such a thorny issue?

Have you over considered that the reason he is not being played is because he continues to not be good enough in training? Not because of something which may or may not have happened a month ago?

It's not really assumptions though is it? Numerous different news sources have reported it so it's foolish to simply dismiss it and his absence from the recent matchday squads supplements this.
You wouldn't really expect SAF or a United spokesperson to say anything on it as it would be an internal disciplinary matter.
why dont journalists ask ferguson in press conferances about anderson. I mean sureley asking him directly is better than just speculating. Even if ferguson refuses to respond it would still give an indication of what the situation is.
