"Chelsea fan" I see.
Griezmann: £43m
Stone: £45m+
Pogba: £68m (Reported)
Koke: £50m (€60m)
Marquinhos: £30m+
Martial: £40m+
These were the players that we put in solid bids for. That's at least £216m worth of players. A small fortune indeed. Each considered first team quality and world class/future world class. Mikel was signed back on by Mourinho himself and Ramires was not leaving. These signings weren't replacements but additions to the team.
Bollocks. There were no bids made for Koke and Griezman. Marquinos bid was made only once Stones bid had failed, so sount one at max.
Essentially Mourinho wanted Stones and Pogba thats 100-120m. Atleast half of which would have been recouped by player sales. He even gave the club second, third and fourth fall back options incase the primary targets were ungetable.
Any more cute stories that you want to make up. The most likely version of truth is that club didnt want to sign any new first teamers and pushed Jose to play more youth players than is reasonable.
Regardless of whatever numbers you make up, the fact remains that club has spent just over £60m is 3 seasons. Thats massive underinvestment compared to city, United, liverpool and even arsenal. What Jose achieved last season was nothing short of brilliance.
Falcao was his ego. He wanted to prove that he could get Falcao back to his best, whilst also helping out his mate Mendes. Falcao was all him. Pedro was a second option to Griezmann when he was deemed unobtainable. Sometimes in life these things happen and if Mourinho cant deal with any sort of set back then he is not a good manager at all, nor human person in general.
Falcao was thurst upon him by the club. If you honestly think that someone like Jose (who does not like to leave anything to chance) will take such a gamble then youre deluding yourself.
He wasn't bringing through any youth. He promoted Terry back to captain and continued to play him when he was getting older. The youth players close to the first team and ones he had singled out were further from the first team when he was sacked then before. Loftus-cheek was treated abysmally. Talked up all the time, played for 5/10 minutes then not in the squad for the next month. He showed no inclination of playing youth even when we were in the relegation zones. All he had were excuses ("We are trying to win the league, no time for youth" "We are in too much trouble, no time for youth") which I'm sure you lapped up. He even admitted that he wouldn't play any youngsters as long as it was mathematically possible to get top 4. There was no inclination of him bringing in youth players and he was wasting a shit load of talent that he refused to play. For that alone he is nothing to this club.
And terry proved to be our best defender for those two seasons. Would you rather us not have won the league last season and brought through Kalas instead. Loftus-Cheek is a lazy fecker, the kind of player who needs that periodic bollocking to keep him on his toes. Jose was handling him just fine.
"Nothing to this club" haha. Youre not a game goer are you. TV fans like will sadly never know what Jose is to the real supporters.
I hope you follow Mourinho over to United to be honest. "Fans" who are blind to the fact that Mourinho and his motley crew of cnuts were leading this club to relegation are not worth an ounce of time IMO. Support the club, not the manager.
Piss-off mate. This is the problem with you bandwagoners.
Go look at pre-abrahmovic history. That should make you look less shallow. The club never wronged its legends ever.
For me Chelsea have won more in the last 12 years than I expected them to win in my entire life time when I first started supporting the club. So trophies dont matter nearly as much as doing right by the man who couldnt wait to thump the Chelsea badge on his chest on any given occasion.
