Pires´ deflected shot in stoppage time was Arsenal´s best and only real chance IMO.

It deflected off of Ljungberg and should've been a goal kick, not a corner. I think Barthez would've had it handled though - he's looked alert tonight.

For those who wanted a description of Ruud's goal...

We are counter-attacking down the left, Ruud is just inside their half, backing up to Campbell to help build... the ball is played up to him and he turns, pokes it away from Campbell's tackle, flies down the pitch and into their box, holds off Keown who is grabbing his shirt, and then brilliantly nudges it towards the goalkeeper's left side, keeper goes down, Ruud chips it over his feet.

1-0.

Rio is easily matching his World Cup performances.
Keane was dominating midfield even when Vieira was still in.
Butt is nowhere near having a stinker; he is playing the enforcer role very well.
Scholes and Giggs look lively.
Ole could do better, and I think he will in the second half...

I think I'd still prefer to see Giggs on the left instead of Scholes, swap them over - but I can't really grumble, they've worked pretty well these last two matches!

That tackle on O'Shea was reckless at the least. He should have been booked.

I guess we have to get used to John being a target.
