Freddie Ljungberg and Robin van Persie are out for Arsenal, though Gilberto Silva hopes to return from injury.
Ljungberg has a virus, while van Persie sustained another kick at Aston Villa on the same knee injury that had previously sidelined him.
Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson is hopeful Wes Brown (groin) Paul Scholes (migraine) and Alan Smith (chest infection) will be available.
Ruud van Nistelrooy should return up front in place of Louis Saha.

Arsenal midfielder Freddie Ljungberg:
"It will be a new thing having no Vieira or Keane in this game. Maybe it will be a little calmer.
"There is some history in the game but the reason you are in football is to play in the big games.
"For us, it is just important to get the three points and close the gap a little bit."
Manchester United captain Gary Neville:
"It has a huge significance to us. It's always been a big game and will be a massive game on Tuesday for both teams.
"It's a game both teams have to win. We need to keep our run going.
"I think it'll be very competitive. Arsenal have always played great football and will continue to."

BIG-MATCH FACTS
ARSENAL and Manchester United players will walk through Highbury's historic marble halls before engaging in a League contest at the famous North London Stadium for the final time before the Gunners move to Ashburton Grove. Four places and 11 points separate the sides, with United the superior in second spot - 14 points behind champions Chelsea. Arsenal have not finished outside the top two since the 1997/98 season, but are in grave danger of doing so this time. United did not finished lower than second in any of the first nine Premier League seasons, but have done so in three of the last four. These are the two highest scoring clubs in Premier League history. Arsenal, who've won the title three times, have netted 870 goals, while United - eight times Premiership champions - have found the back of the net on 1,025 occasions. At the other end, the Red Devils have kept 222 clean sheets - the Gunners are the next best with 215.
Arsenal have recovered from an unfamiliar run of three successive defeats, with seven points so far from the holiday fixtures. They won 0-1 at Charlton on Boxing Day, then 4-0 home to Portsmouth, and were held to a goalless draw at Villa on New Year's Eve. The Gunners will be hoping to keep a fourth successive clean sheet. They've conceded 15 top flight goals - only Chelsea (10) and Liverpool (11) have shipped fewer. Chelsea are the only club to have taken all three points away from Highbury this season - indeed those are the only points Arsene Wenger's side have dropped at home since Manchester United's visit last February.
The Gunners are locking horns with United for the first time this season, after five meetings last term. They were 'doubled' by the Red Devils last season and haven't beaten their arch rivals in six Premiership games since the 0-1 triumph at Old Trafford on 8 May 2002 when Sylvain Wiltord scored the winner. Indeed the Gunners 'doubled' United that season, having already won 3-1 at Highbury on 25 November 2001. Therry Henry bagged a brace and Fredrik Ljungberg got the other.
MANCHESTER UNITED take a 10-match unbeaten Premiership sequence of eight wins to two draws to Highbury. They've scored nine goals in their three matches over the holiday period. A 3-0 Boxing Day victory over West Brom and 4-1 New Year's Eve win over Bolton - both at Old Trafford - were separated by a 2-2 draw at St Andrews when Birmingham brought an end to United's three match winning League run on the road. The Red Devils are the Premiership's highest scorers away from home this season with 20 goals in 10 trips. Whichever side opens the scoring here will be netting the 500th goal of this Premier League season.
Sir Alex Ferguson's side have only lost one away League match this term - at Middlesbrough. Should they lose in north London, it will be their 600th post war League defeat. Should Arsenal score twice it will take the number of goals United have conceded away from home in the Premiership era to 300. The managerial standings in League matches between Ferguson and Wenger have Sir Alex narrowly in front by seven wins to six with five draws.
This is the first meeting of these clubs since last season's goalless FA Cup final after extra time, which Arsenal won 5-4 in the penalty shoot-out. Prior to that, they met at Highbury on 1 February when the most-hyped match of the season lived up to its billing as six goals were scored and United prevailed in a titanic tussle with just 10 men for the final 20 minutes. Patrick Vieira headed Arsenal into an early lead, Ryan Giggs replied and although Dennis Bergkamp restored the home side's advantage, Cristiano Ronaldo levelled after the break. Ronaldo scored again three minutes later and John O'Shea clinched victory despite the dismissal of Mikael Silvestre for head-butting Freddie Ljungberg.
