Arsenal vs Manchester United

Have to admit to not having seen him play much for your lot, and was probably hoping for something a bit special. What I saw was a 'Giggs-wannabe', who should have been booked for flashing an imaginary yellow card, and then for feigning injury. Okay, he had to do some defending today...but I guess I was watching a different game!:)

that was a clear yellow mate...Anderson was trying to wind him up thats all...

What? The rolling round on the ground five times, clutching his ankle, then springing magically to his feet when the ref had a word?

I agree...it was a clear yellow card!!!:D

The repeat showed VDS was inside the goal line before Gallas struck the goal.

Why so? Do I need to start a new thread on this?

I blame him for the draw....

Oh come on, i'll take responsibility for the first goal but not the second. ;) Oh it was all my fault. :(

Still not started a matchday thread where we've lost though, in fact this could be the first draw.

Bit late but heres what i thought:

1. Arsenal were/are better than i thought...usually we are physically stronger than teams - faster, stronger... but i thought Arsenal looked very tough. Adebayor at times, didnt look phased by Rio and Vida, he burned Vida for pace in the 2nd half. Sagna is a beast, and players like Clichy, Adebayor, Toure, Sagna, Eboue are just as fast and strong as ours...didnt expect this to be honest.

2. Rooney was our best player. Think hes class right up top, has amazing pace, and scored.

3. Andersons antics...i am seeing a player exactly the opposite of what i thought we had signed in the summer... I thought we were getting an attacking player who was honest, quiet and would let his feet do the talking. However, i am seeing a tough, midfield general ala Reo Coker right now - sort of, Anderson can pass, Coker cant... who overreacted and started trying to get players booked. Needs to cut it out, i was almost cringing watching him, gives us a bad reputation, needs to cut it out because he can certainly play.

4. Dissapointed Fergie didnt play 4-4-2 in the 1st half, Giggsy played some good some bad, ie his pass for Waynes header, but gave the ball away a few times.

5. Hargreaves needs to pass it first time, enough of this getting the ball and running his away out of trouble.

6. Fabregas is a cnut.

As a neutral I have to say I enjoyed the match and feel Arsenal just about shaded it. I know it was an away game for your lot but was expecting a bit more going forward. Both teams are so evenly matched that maybe the 'home' and 'away' thing shouldn't have mattered, but I guess this might be two points dropped for you in the end.

One thing...is Anderson always this fecking awful? A fairly average player when compared to who else was on show today.

:wenger:

Someone's been on the cooking sherry again.
