Don't really understand why we won't go 4-3-3 against fecking Arsenal with Fellaini instead of useless Valencia but yea, other than that I don't mind.
We really should implement the Chelsea formation. Front six of:
RvP
Januzaj/Young Rooney Mata
Carrick Fletcher
3 interchangable attacking midfielders/wingers switching for most of the game. Sadly, the inclusion of Valencia means we'll see none of this.
Do you remember SAF trying to play Rooney from the left? Not only was Rooney ineffective but people scoffed at the notion after a while. Moyes genuinely can't win with some of you, you'll always find something to moan about.Ideally, Mata would be our regular attacking midfielder and Rooney would play as the left sided forward in a 433. A progressive manager could make that work with ease. Dithering Dave prefers Rooney and Van Persie standing on each other's toes, attempting to get on the end of cross after cross.
Because he's almost certainly not match fit? Valencia's pace could be useful against what looks like a rather slow Arsenal team.Don't really understand why we won't go 4-3-3 against fecking Arsenal with Fellaini instead of useless Valencia but yea, other than that I don't mind.

Always with the Valencia or Young. Will Januzaj ever start again?
Why would that be better? At least we don't have two players trying to cut inside like we have recently. Mata will float around while Valencia will maintain width on the right.

Not going to happen.PLAY ALL THE GOOD PLAYERS!
JUST PLAY ALL THE....Oh I give up.
It's amazing that we spend £37m on Mata and are constantly using him on the left in a 4-4-2 system, it's actually something people were taking the piss about before we got him, and now it's actually happening.

I'm actually okay with the team selection. I can understand why Valencia is there, we'll need someone tracking back, particularly on Özil. I'm more interested to see how we set up now. Fellaini to come on and snatch the winner, calling it now.
At least nobody is out of position. More or less.PLAY ALL THE GOOD PLAYERS!

Which of Rooney and RvP would you drop to accommodate him?
The exact front 6 that played Fulham? I'm really not a fan of this 'interchanging' nonsense either, I can't think of a single top side in Europe with a system like that, other than Chelsea for 3 months under Di Matteo (which didn't work).
Would've dropped Rooney for this game (call me insane, but he hasn't done a lot in recent weeks), play a midfield five of Carrick, Cleverley, Kagawa in the centre, Mata coming in from the right, Adnan coming in from the left, RvP upfront. No 'get it wide', no Rooney who is culpable of doing it all the time, no Valencia, no Young, width to be provided by both full-backs.
It's never going to happen under Moyes.

Made my night.Agreed. I find Fellaini an offense against mankind but the one thing he can do is crash the box and score off long balls, or at least provide the slick knockdown ball for a mate. This could be the night Fellaini begins repaying the insane 27.5 (plus wages, let's not forget) that we paid for him on Panic Day 2013.
Against this back line I could see a Rafael cross to Fellaini in the 88th minute resulting in the improbable match-winner, but only if our fuillbacks remain disciplined and our central defenders play their very best game. A butchering is likely to happen, but if all of Arsenal's possession results in nothing midway through the second half I can see the home fans turning on the gooners and us stealing the win.
Kagawa hasn't played in recent weeks. Annoys me when people say someone's not done much, yet he's not played. How can he do anything when he doesn't get a game?Implying Kagawa has done a lot in recent weeks.
Against dropping Rooney - he, along with Januzaj, have been our only brightsparks all season. Dropping him, for me, would really mean Moyes has indeed ventured into insanity.
Exactly, I said Mata was signed to replace Januzaj in the team and a lot of people just wouldn't have it and said that he's only being rested, how much rest does an 18yo need?A lot of people predicted that this will happen after we signed Mata. People who still trust on Moyes were in denial and said that Januzaj is being rested but no. It's typicall Moyes, sacrifice talented players for not talented hardworkers.
Why not try a 3 man midfield with RvP, Rooney and Januzaj interchanging ahead of Mata? Is that so implausible? Or is it so vital to have Valencia in there to deal with their full back and offer absolutely nothing offensively and leave us with a two man midfield instead? What else were we going to do, though? Rooney pretty much has the club by it's balls, he's not going to be dislodged.
We thought Kagawa would change the way we played, it didn't, and now the same is happening with Mata. Why not try a 3 man midfield with RvP, Rooney and Januzaj interchanging ahead of Mata? I thought we bought Mata to at least try to change the way we play, seeing as we spent THIRTY SEVEN MILLION POUNDS on him, instead, we're shafting him to the left and doing exactly what hasn't worked for us all season.
