Tell me about it. I'm up in 6 hours yet I'm here reloading this page. Pathetic.

Thing is, we have no idea if the actual asking fee is £35m. It's just speculation by the media. I might me £55m for all we know, and I doubt United - even with that brand new Adidas money coming in - would pay that for Vidal.I simply can't fathom why we wouldn't pay the asking fee for one of the best players in the world, so either our interest wasn't that strong to begin with or he doesn't want to move. I'm sure Woodward would be desperate for a marquee signing like this.
Why are fans on here suddenly becoming pessimistic? As a City fan, it's only now that the Daily Mail and the Express are reporting that it isn't happening that I'm actually beginning to worry. Seriously, they are utter shit.
If the deal is off, we still have cleverly fellaini Anderson and fletcher to choose from, not so bad
Or maybe the reports are a load of rubbish
So Vidal says that we're talking to him, but the Mail says its off. Im conflicted guys.
Vidal said he heard the rumours and that he will sort his future in Italy. Not that we are talking to him.
I've read some article on an Italian Juve site (don't know anything about the credbility) but they were claiming United didn't want to meat Juventus valuation which was at £48m rather than the reported £34m I see everywhere.
That would make a hell of a lot more sense, even though I still think we should go for it.
He will certainly play like a 50M pound player at least. Injuries aside (luck), its pretty much one of the safest bets to take. You just know Vidal will take this league and make it his own right away.
dont fecking do this to me Louiiiii!!!
Van Gaal rivals Wenger when it comes to not spending. He prefers to promote from within and improve players. Bayern had to pretty much force him to sign players and he out right refused to take Neuer, preferring to promote a rookie keeper.
It wouldn't surprise me at all if he pulled the plug on Vidal.
As he did with Kroos for instance.Van Gaal rivals Wenger when it comes to not spending. He prefers to promote from within and improve players. Bayern had to pretty much force him to sign players and he out right refused to take Neuer, preferring to promote a rookie keeper.

I am talking about pulling out of a transfer.who is our Kroos?
Would be delighted if this fell through because van Gaal has identified other midfield talents for cheaper prices.

Not necessarily from the youth team... Maybe Louis sees something he can mould in Cleverley.Yeah I know but I'm just saying, if we have pulled out of this deal and didn't fancy Kroos in favor of promoting someone from the youth then who is it?
Cleverley, isnt that obvious?Yeah I know but I'm just saying, if we have pulled out of this deal and didn't fancy Kroos in favor of promoting someone from the youth then who is it?

They are saying United baulked at the asking price of around 34 million pounds...Just because we've signed a new kit deal it doesn't mean we should spend ridiculous sums on players. Good on van Gaal/United if they've put their foot down. Almost £50 mill on a 27 year old player is ridiculous, no matter how many other clubs I dukge in this sort of spending.
Such as?Would be delighted if this fell through because van Gaal has identified other midfield talents for cheaper prices.
I think he has an eye on Strootman in January, which would be a pretty big risk. There's no guarantee that he'll recover in time by then, and we could be struggling by then anyway. There's still a while to go but it's worrying. There isn't anybody, that is the problem, if LVG really doesn't want to sign players because he wants to work with academy products, than we are fecked in the midfield. There are no good real midfielders at the club, I'd be fine with it on the wings, I'd be fine with it at the back, and I'd be fine with upfront, but if LVG is reluctant on us signing Vidal than we should intervene as a club and force the move and pay whatever we need to pay to get it done. Vidal is just everything we have needed for years now, missing out on that because we want to work with unexisting midfield talents from the academy is the kind of stuff that we should really be avoiding.
