But the thing that makes me think that there's something in the works is the fact that we are still after players yet this is the only one with coverage. There's barely been any stories linking us to anyone in about a week yet it's almost certain we're after one or two. It was the same with Herrera but it is interesting that this is the only name being thrown about, apart from the obvious Netherlands links.

If we sign Vidal, then it's going to be on off until he gets back from holiday. Juventus were never coming out today and saying any different. We don't gain anything from admitting interest. And I love how the papers report these. For Martins Indi, I think it was the Mail (maybe others, as well) had the headline calling it a "blow to Manchester United", and talked about how "United target Martins Indi" signed with Porto.
The papers pull some speculation completely out of their ass, then make it look like we failed in our pursuit.

Didn't the Vidal rumours blow up last friday? and monday the club started denying interest. With most coming from Italy and Chile it can suggest info maybe coming from Juve or Vidals camp. Going back I honestly believe fergie had much to do with not paying the extra millions to get a certain player and last summer was just a major f... up. We don't know who VG wants but we clearly havd money to burn and pay top wages so I'll stay calm for a while yet.
