United are leaving tomorrow on the US tour. They return about a week or less after Vidal returns to Italy. That's the timeline that LVG set to evaluate the team before deciding who he needs to buy. They will want to announce a big signing at home, not at some random hotel or stadium in the US. It's not like Vidal would be on the tour anyway, as he's on holiday until it's almost over.
Juve are not going to want to announce a sale of a top player right after the new manager starts. 2-3 weeks sounds about right to let him settle in before dropping a bomb like that.
I'm not saying that it's a done dealio, but 2-3 weeks is a timeline that makes sense for all 3 parties to decide one way or the other. Expect nothing but more rumors and contradictory reports until early August.
