Aston Villa VS Manchester United

Rooney... goal against Roma, 2 goals in internationals and now 2 more with Villa.

The beast is on fire.

From the point when Villa scored onwards we've been absolutely fecking brilliant. Villa were just clinging onto the fact we hadn't scored yet, until they went and gave us a goal...spastics

Nani and Rooney causing all kinds of problems. Tevez seems to get better with every game, he's everywhere

To be fair, Anderson shouldn't be playing in this game. We should have gone with Pique in the middle. Away from home against a fast pacey team, we probably needed a defensive minded midfielder alongside Scholes.

Nah, Andersons doing fine ...

I think Anderson has shown a lot of good stuff so far, despite errors

Yup, sums it up pretty well. Aston Villa away was never going to be an easy fixture for a young Brazilian who's been used to the Portuguese league. But he's showed his amazing vision on several occasions.
He's going to be great.

I'm really blown away by Tevez, I think I love him.

Agreed. Not bad, but he will benifit more if he doesnt need to share the defensive duties with Scholes.

Exactly; the Scholes-Anderson partnership was fine at home against a team that didn't want to attack.

But against Villa's young pacey line up, it just was going to struggle.

We played well enough all half going forward. There are signs of Rooney and Tevez linking up. Almost made me cream my pants on 3 different occasions. Thats looking very promising indeed.
I would like to see more from Anderson. Nani is much more eager to get involved, but makes a lot of mistakes. Definitely potential there though.

We miss Vidic in defense... badly. Almost every time they put a cross in they looked like scoring.

More of the same please.

true but i think it woke us up Marcello:devil:

It reminds me of the days from 99-01 when the side would batter the opposition even if down an early goal. The only thing different now is that the current side has a more settled back four and a keeper that doesn't make comical gaffs. Oh, the one negative is the club lack a dominating midfield player like Keane.

We've missed Vidic at the back but Tevez and Rooney seem to be working so well together. Nani's been fantastic too. A big thanks to the Villa defense. Would like to see Tevez score one.

Yeah I noticed that aye. Usually I just put it on in the background and I cant tell, but I actually have listen today! oh the humanity!

Like old school commentary, when they'd celebrate the goal after ball'd hit the back of the net. Strange.

we do miss Vidic at the back. I don't think Agbonlahor would've won that header ahead of him.

Also another chance when they almost scored, he would've probably cleared that too.

Our younger lads are doing well, and we still miss 3 key players!!!

Anderson is just an excieting player, everytime he touches the ball you expect something special

I'd like to see O'Shea replace Scholes so that we can see Anderson in a more advanced attacking role.

Good composure and grit shown by us to come back without actually hurrying or ruffling things about.

Yeah I know. They didn't even change tone for the second goal. It was like "Tevez releases Rooney and Rooney finds the bottom corner" *ten seconds later* Oh shit we've scored!

Anyway great first half, but I now will be disappointed if we dont get a Rooney Hat Trick!

He was in an offside position.

I think our Defense is a bit better then back then but your right we dont have a keane type player. I thought maybe smudger would have done that.

Carrick and Hargreeves are great players but they arent Keano.

But Keano wasnt on the pitch when we won the Big trophy (although it was his goal that got us back in the game in Turin in the SF)

We will see what happens

More sloppiness from Villa, putting themselves under pressure from the start

Good first half for your lot, thought Zat Knight's defending for first two goals was poor though.
