Barcelona - a lot of moaning about them and some praise

the comments i recieve from you and your ilk doesnt exactly help my impartiality....
You have never been impartial. So spare us the ''you and your ilk crap''. You love to paint anyone who challenges your opinion of them on here with the brush of being anti Barca and bitter. Worst of all you are always claiming your view is the only rational and clued up one on the topic. No one forces you to behave that way. You choose to because you want to.

I thought it was blatantly obvious given the only Utd-related posts FV does is the shit he spouts about Carrick.

He spends far too much time giving verbal fellatio to the likes of Busquets and Messi to be a Utd fan.

Well it's only obvious if you're familier with his work, makes him more of an oddball imo but at least I won't bother banging my head against a brick wall any longer. He obviously has a lot of love for Barca.

Do they though?

I remember Owen and some other United players going through 2 drugs tests (PL and UEFA) in less than one week...just a few weeks ago.

They seem pretty frequent things.
This season alone there have been several allegations made about Barca and drugs. It concerns me. I think its uncalled for.

They're probably being 'targeted' just like an olympic gold medalist is being 'targeted' by anti-doping associations. If you're the best of your trade, then the authorities will want to make sure you didn't get there unfairly or that you're not staying there with the help of prohobited substances and bring the game into disrepute as a consequence.

Imagine if Maradona never was tested because of his stature within football?

That is how its supposed to be. But tbh in recent years I haven't heard many top teams get that type of allegation thrown at them the way Barca have this season.

HA! Are you sugesting Barca are Maradona like ?

The Fuentes case is probably a big part of the accusations. There could also be concerns over how such a small squad plays at the same level for so many matches. United has the squad to rotate a lot, but Barca's squad isn't nearly as large.

There have been a number of allegations about drugs being prevalent in Spanish football though.

Maybe it's a fallout from that.

How many drugs tests have RM gone through? Do we know?

I think every team has two players tested after every CL match, but I don't know how many of these training ground spot checks typically get done over a year.

I think RM had one of these UEFA visits a few weeks ago - Ronaldo made some comment about it being his third UEFA test that month, having been tested after both Lyon games.

Given the amount of football their top players (particularly the Spanish ones) have played in the past 12 months there's bound to be suspicion about anyone who's still looking strong by this time of year. However as most of the rumours relate to blood doping, I doubt that the testing regime can catch anyone.

Barcelona in particular, if they're getting more tests than normal, I assume it's because UEFA are trying to show how fair they are.

Something its wrong in Spain, they had Contador and that swimmer failing drug tests because was blood tests and they got clean by the government to protect the titles they won. I do believe some international players are involved with drugs and we may never find out the truth, actually they will short their time as top players.

they are on the brink of winning La Liga title, leading very easily 2-0 against Espanyol.

According to my Barcelona supporting friend, United and Chelsea were equally bad to Barcelona in the game yesterday and Rooney was as bad as Busquets when he lay down holding his leg in the wrong place because he was kicked by Ivanovic lower than he pretended to be.

I think they might be living in another dimension altogether.

I was just coming here to post my thoughts on Rooney since I rewatched the match.

There were two incidents I did't care for at all. The first was when Ivanovic should have got sent off, he was up and looking at Webb and then decided to lie down in pain. Uncalled for.

The other was in the second half when he lost the ball and goes chasing after it and as he runs past Ivanovic he flings himself as he touches him. Think he realized his mistake and quickly got up and Ivanovic had a laugh at Webb about it.

He was the only one but, it goes hand in hand with some of the behaviour of the Barca lot - looking to get someone from the opposition sent off.

Yesterday had a discussion with this contractor that is in from Guatemala, Barca fan and he was pointing out the all the fouls against Barca that weren't called and such justified why they need to play act and hound the ref. My response, shouldn't matter if that's the case - if you have any integrity then you don't stoop to that level. It reflects poorly on the club.

I still think Barca were so insecure in their ability to break down Madrid that they went in with the plan to try get someone sent off as the only way they'd succeed. Madrid on the other hand were made to believe the only way they could beat Barca was to constantly snipe at them and even foul them. Neither was becoming.

In the end I hope United play physical and the ref allows for it but, not in a dirty way and that Barca in the final will at least have the decency to not try get someone sent off as the only way to have an advantage - let them play their football, which on the day is good enough to beat anyone.

In fairness, I noticed Carrick pulled a Busquets after a foul by Drogba yesterday. That aside, Barca are in a league of their own when it comes to diving, exagerrating, and overall shithouse tactics with the aim of pressurising the ref to reduce the opposition down by players.

If they didn't have such a superiority complex in terms of morals, upholding the purest forms of the game and all that load of bollocks, it wouldn't be as outrageous as it appears. It stands out more with them due to the sheer hypocrisy of it all.

Real Madrid are no angels either, but at least they don't pretend to be or try to brainwash the world into thinking they are God's gift to football.

I watched the foul against Carrick again and didn't strike me that way. I've been rewinding incidents for my 5 year old, on just different parts of the game for him to visually get some concepts I try to explain to him and that was one of them. Was explaining how it was bad aand that look at Carrick, he isn't crying because on the field some of these 5 year olds get bumped, fall down and break down in tears when they get accidentally pushed.

After the Barca game I showed him several of the Barca cheating incidents and showed him this is what not to do ever. Showed him Rooney ones as well.

So this season Barca beat RM only the games they end up with 1 less player (even the first game was at the end), tied or lost when RM finished the game with 11.... :wenger:, the game Pepe got a red card, the trio was unable to play their football until Pepe's out. Anyway, if the ref doesn't help Barca and our defense and mid play their best we will be the CHAMPIONS :D

down the cheaters!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

He's talking shite.

Utter shite.

I just wonder if UEFA officiasl have not seen this yet ( ever?!) or decided to ignore it.

I think that whoever refs the game should watch this clip with with both captains and make sure they know that he is not going accept such behavior.

I can just imagine Vidic eyes

This.

They run around the world saying they play "the right way" complaining like girls about defensive tactics and then drop and hold their faces when someone touches their elbow.

Not even worth bringing up the comparison.
