Surely we won't play 4-4-2 though. Valencia are banging goals in at the moment. We'll be raped considering our defensive frailties at present.

I'd expect:

Van Der Sar
Neville/Rafael - Rio - Vidic - Evra
O Shea
Nani - Fletcher - Anderson/Scholes - Park/Giggs
Berbatov

The Caf will explode if Bebe is even on the bench...Imagine if he starts.

-----------------VDS--------------
Rafael----Ferdinand---Vidic----Evra
----------Fletcher--Carrick---------
Nani------------Park----------Giggs
--------------Berbatov------------

That would be nice. Expect O'Shea to play instead of Rafael but otherwise something like that.

I can't believe nobody but me has picked Bebe to start in Bebe's own thread! You lot make the Daily Mail look like the Bebe fan club!

Would be great to give Scholes, O'shea and Evans a rest and start Carrick, Brown and Rio. And maybe even Anderson for Fletcher, with a front 3 of Nani, Berbatov and [insert name] (LW).

Might aswell try Obertan or Bebe in that LW slot but I have a feeling Anderson might be playing tucked in left.

Has to be a 4-5-1 and I'm excited about seeing Bebe but not sure starting him would be the best idea. Then again, it wouldn't be the worst either.

I'm on the fence Cider, so you've got 50% of my support :)

I'll have you know he's going to be kicking rear tomorrow night. Valencia are shitting themselves

feck rests. Scholes obviously needs it because he's 35 and played a full 90 against Bolton, but this should not be seen as an opportunity to give certain players game time. Valencia are on fire and this is our toughest group match. Put out whoever we need to, Fletcher, Evra, O Shea etc.

Erm, little lad called Park Ji-Sung?

He's one of the first names on the team sheet in these kind of matches. Unless he's being played in the centre then he is 100% guaranteed to start on the left wing.

Yeah it's bound to be Park on the left. Bebe could come on though later on; Park has been pretty useless so far this season, so unless he picks up some form for this game he will be the first to be subbed, which can mean only one thing...

Bebetime!

We should play a midfield of

Fletcher--Carrick--Anderson--Bebe

aka Three Men and a Bebe.

Got involved a lot more as the games wore on.. promising.

Sorry to piss on your parade but he seems to have no awareness whatsoever. It's as if he sees his role as "bomb down the flank and cross" regardless of where the cross goes or -more to the point- where the other players are.

Yes, he does look skillful and pacey but he is far from being someone you would play against Valencia. At the moment he looks no better than Bellion.

True, and i would given argue that Obertan would be ahead of him... but i dont think hes even travelled

Do you see how that's a bit of a contradiction?

The fact that he has travelled, and Obertan hasn't, can give some indication of the pecking order at this moment in time.

Unless he means that if he ran United then Obertan would be ahead of Bebe.

Lets just be thankful thats not the case.

Harsh, but the most accurate and brutal honest post about Bebe so far to me. He really looks over his head with what I see. Hoping that with time he can relax and learn.

You've only seen a game and quarter in a United shirt when he's been doing his best to impress!

Give him time, as making snap judgements on so little evidence is not accurate or brutally honest, it's basically foolish.

He won't start. No Way. SAF is easing him in gradually. He could be a hit, but again if it doesn't go well it could affect the lad's confidence and the daily mail could be on at him again. He's talented, but still raw so no way does he start against Valencia.

.

Worked for Lennon, Walcott and esp Glen Johnson so... why not ? :)

I don't think the two of use are making any judgment, yes, we are talking about what we have seen from small sample size, I did watch all the games he has played so far since we bought him, 2 for Portugal under 21, 1 for the reserves, and then the CC. I mean if SAF can buy him without watching him play, how can that be worse than us pointing out what we have seen from him?
Unless it was beyond foolish of SAF's part to buy him without watching him and making a financial decision from nothing. Not to compare myself to SAF, but you don't really need a lot of games to tell simple stuff about certain players.

Saying that he looks no better than Bellion and having no awareness is a pretty damning judgement from very little evidence wouldn't you say?

SAF has a scouting network and trusted confidantes that can provide him with the info he needs to buy a player.

I thought he was just making a point about the Valencia game and stressing on how not ready he thinks Bebe is. He clearly established his hope that Bebe can prove his initial opinion of him wrong.
Anyway, Bellion was not that bad to me for it to elicit negative reaction when comparison are made, he was just not ready and he is looking a player nowadays.
