Benitez to Chelsea Discussion & Sack watch

Rafa will be out regardless of what he does. Roman wants Guardiola and I can't help but feel that he's already had some positive word from the Guardiola camp.

Also Rafa's fat arse will be better for keeping the seat warm rather than Di Matteo's slender one.

Rafa out of he loses his next game? surely even Abramovich wouldn't do that?

I mean he'll be out eventually anyway, but to fire the waiter so quickly would surely be crazy even by his standards

by all accounts Roman was livid after the Fulham match.

If Chelsea lose tomorrow and both us and City win, think even at this early stage, the gap will be too much for Chelsea to close. The guy is a power crazy corrupt, arrogant loon. I would not put it past him.

If you watched the game they showed him stand up and walk out when the whistle blew, the moment his back was turned you could see him start screaming just by the way his head was moving. He was not a happy camper.

Abramovich as the owner of your club is like taking the biggest Facebook knee jerk muppet fan of you club, handing him almost unlimited funds and watch him run amok.

While winning trophies, which is the most annoying part.

That's a ridiculous claim, even by Chelski's revolving door standards. The bloke was only appointed a week or so ago.
Congratulations on your firm grasp of reality, and complete inability to grasp humour.

Is it true that Rafa's title is "Interim First Team Manager"?

According to the Premier League Preview Show, it is.

Agent Rafa strikes again. Had Chelsea down as challengers but if they drop points here today it's only going to be a 2 horse race again i think.

For those who dismissed Rafa's abject failure with Inter as a one off Chelsea's recent matches should serve as a wake up call.

Thanks to Rafa the title is coming back to Manchester this year.

The Chelsea were extremely to start booing Rafa in his first match but since then the FSW hasn't done anything to shut them up.It's been a lot worse than under Di Matteo that's for sure

So from looking like Champion material early on, Chelsea have gone shit.

Much like last season.

Horrible 2nd half performance by Chelsea, but what we have come to expect out of them. the problem I see right now is that they are falling back to regular Chelsea mode, play defense, play defense, hope for goals on the counter. So all that money spent on flash players to remake the team is looking a waste.

Roman will definitely be trying to spend big come January. This club need some depth, they need a new striker or two, they still need to get younger I think. The problem being is that they could be out of the CL by then which could make Jan. deals more difficult.

The manager situation will not help either, at this point one can not see Rafa being there next season, with no guarantee that Pep will be his replacement.

They would have been better off leaving RDM in place for this season.

You know you have done something wrong when the majority of the players don't want the new manager or none of the fans want the new manager.

What a fukkin shambles Roman has made of his club. Other than hiring Jose, what exactly has he done right? Yes, he let RDM finish out the season, but you know he wanted to sack him as soon as possible and of he he did sack him at the first wobble. Then Rafa, who has to be sacked soon.

One wonders whether Roman will go all in for Beckham in January to try to "save" the season.

Logic would say that. But chelsea don't really follow logic very often
Realistically, I can't see what big name they could get on a short-term basis.

Di Matteo? Yeah, that'll make him look like a sap.

Guardiola? All the money in the world suggests otherwise. He won't join a club during the middle of a season.

Hiddink? Busy.

Benitez knew the implications of taking the job, so fool him for taking it in the first place. Roman has to face the consqeuences.

I hadn't thought about the possibility of Roman asking Roberto to come back. Despite the humiliation of it all, that may be Roman's best option. But I can't see Roberto agreeing to it unless it would somehow violate his contract, assuming he's still getting paid through the present time.

Either way, Rafa's mask has been lifted and the sooner he's out, the better for Chelsea.

He'll be there until the end of the season, no sooner, no later I'd have thought. Then Roman can get his man in.
