I just really don't rate Gibson. Was expecting three up front with him, Anderson and Carrick in midfield but this is going no where.

I wouldn't, draw is a crap result and we've had too many of them. I'd rather have a go at them rather than stay quiet and collect yet another draw, it's a risk but it would pay off more often than not.
We need to get a player on who can play on the wing, don't give a damn if it's someone from the U17s, we need some width. Gibson does nothing today apart from limiting our tactical options, since he's not even doing the one thing he knows.
Can we pretend it's the last 10 minutes so we can go 442 and attack?

im sure the idea was for evra and rafeal to be the width, but our central midfield isnt controlling play well enough at all
you'd think I'd be used to it by now, but the matchday thread never fails to amaze meMost teams are against Birmingham, and I don't really think this is entirely down to our poor away form this season. IIRC it was a fairly similar game last season at St. Andrews for us.
We were very good in the first 20-odd minutes, Rooney's wastefulness aside. It's not been a good half but I think poor's a bit of an exaggeration arrick in particular was excellent and Berbatov was looking lively, and Giggs has been a threat. Some nice interchanging between the front three in that first period too.
Birmingham are so bloody negative, I don't know how we're going to make any chances when they constantly have nine players behind the ball.
