Has Fergie been dying his hair?
Just seen him on sky, looked very dark on top!

This won't be an easy game. But we've got the character to pull through...

Will never die, will never die
Will never die, will never die
We'll keep the red flag flying high cos Man United will never die...

and Pixies fans know their hair dye.

;)

This cup in itself is Worthless, but for the first time in years its important, just to have a Final against Liverpool, and so we've picked our strongest team. We need to as well, as Blackburn are a very good side, got a 1-1 draw out of our home leg and beat us 1-0 in the league. But tonight is a Cup night, a knock-out match and Semi-Final, and we've won more semi-finals than anyone. This'll be one high quality match, unlike the boring shite we had to endure last night.

I suppose coz JohnO is the most versatile player it makes some sense to have him on the bench. I still think he has been our defender of the season so far though.

Blackburn Rovers
Friedel , Neill , Todd , Taylor , McEveley , Thompson , Flitcroft , Tugay , Duff , Cole , Yorke
Subs: Short , Jansen , Gillespie , Ostenstad , Robinson

Man Utd
Barthez , G Neville , Ferdinand , Brown , Silvestre , Beckham , Veron , Keane , Giggs , Scholes , Nistelrooy
Subs: P Neville , Butt , Forlan , O'Shea , Ricardo

Bit disappointed Forlan couldnt make it into the starting line up. Oh well, COME ON

The fact is we have more than 11 players who should be in the team because they're all exellent players. When someone fecks up or needs a rest they rotate, tonight Giggs comes back for Ole who had a knee injury, Veron comes back in for Phil as Veron set up Forlan in the last game and is now fresh. O'Shea will have to wait until Gary or Mickey lose form, and Mickey could probably do with a rest, perhaps O'Shea will come on as sub for Mickey and make his case for that spot.

Correct, he might not mind being a utility player as at his age he just wants games, but I'm not yet sure which position he will make his own. He's left footed, so really left back would be his spot if not left centre back.

I might be way off the ball here but outside of Ryan Giggs John Oshea is our best at putting defenders on notice. He will take them on and more times then not gets a decent cross in. Im not sure he should be competing against Micky or Gary for his position i think he should be in ahead of brown. Just my opinion.

That he had a bustup with Ferguson is one. There's a young player getting too big for his boots, and the usual suspects (Richardson and Djordjic) are either out on loan or don't seem to be undergoing any punishment. John's continued absence from the starting line up is beginning to seem like penance.

Wes has been magnificent for us this season, its Rio who's struggling to get his game up to similar standard.

Can't see Blackburn conceeding 3 with their defence, I think that it will be a lot tighter than that. 2-1 to United at the most, could even just be 1-0 to United.

C'mon UNITED!!!

Let's have these now!!

if thats the case and its a discipline issue then im fine with it. SAF knows how to control his players no one is bigger then the team. I just love to see him play what a talent

Hope not. :(
Doesn't seem like the type to be honest. I'm currently studying (sort of :D ) in Waterford, his home town. Nobody here has a bad word to say about him. Feet on the ground, always willing to help out local causes etc.

IMO wes has been good but of course your going to start you 30 million pound man then the question remains who partners him. John's skill makes him available to play all of the back 4 or 3 positions thus actually hurts his chances to start. Although again IMO he is better then wes

Richardson should really be playing in this game, but it clashed with the FA Youth Cup which was last night, we want to win that too this season and Kieran scored the second goal. Giggs though has a point to prove and should be given an opportunity too, he'll either be delighted that everyone knows he's engaged and getting married in the Summer, or pissed off that it was leaked to the press.

UNITED UNITED UNITED UNITED! <img src="graemlins/devil.gif" border="0" alt="[Devil]" /> <img src="graemlins/devil.gif" border="0" alt="[Devil]" /> <img src="graemlins/devil.gif" border="0" alt="[Devil]" />

Ruud taking a first shot on goal in the first minute, statement of intent. :D

Ah shit, thought Giggs was going to at least get a shot off then. Would have been a great start. Two chances in two minutes though.
