Blackburn Rovers vs Manchester United

I can't believe Fergie's gonna make changes this early.

It's a 451 with Berbatov playing in midfield and occasionally getting into the box. I'll be suprised if he has more then 2 shots on target.

Watching a different game from me. Berbatov's been in the box plenty of times in the first half. He's come deep a lot as well which is good for us since a lot of our good moves have gone through him.

As for second half - strangely our best attacking options may be to bring 2 fullbacks on - in Rafael and Evra.

Could take of Macheda and bring on Gibson and push Giggs up I guess.

Just need to be a little sharper with our final ball.

Come on United - know you have it in you to win this game. We need this one then worry about the next.

Berg is a decent pundit.

Dominating half. Not enough chances to show for it. Valencia should have put us 1-0 up. Berbatov dictating play well. He may not get in the box, but he is playing a huge part in our attacking play.

I don't think anyone's had a poor game. Just a case of Blackburn crowding us out. Give it time.

Our strikers not comfortable with each other. Uncomplimenting styles

yeah, BR just can't seem to keep the ball for longer than 10 seconds. We should be putting them to the sword. Robinson's save from valencia has kept them in the game.

Not only that, but we've got all the room we want on the ball, pretty much in any part of the pitch we want. Blackburn arn't even competing really.

Reckon Fergie will be tearing into them at half time for not already having the game wrapped up.

It's been a poor game all round so far.

As a midfielder yes. Not as a striker

Ferguson said in his pre match interview that Berbatov would be playing deeper. Berbatov is clearly following instructions.

If Valencia had stuck away an easy chance, we'd be rightfully toasting Berbatov.

Except that that's how Berbatov always plays for United

And

Yes

I think all players have had a decent half. We're creating a few chances but just need to improve the final ball. We'll walk this comfortably, be patient :)

Berbatov playing well but once more he's in midfield. He's a fooking striker! That ball Giggs played across was a golden chance, yet he was nowhere to be seen.

Well, if Berba hadn't made that run down midfield than there wouldn't have been an opening for Giggs to run into.

Blackburn don't know how to handle Berbatov.

And he's clearly been asked to drop into the hole and try to break them down from there, but if you lot were to admit that, you'd have no stick to beat him with on today's performance. You'd swear it was easy to get other players in behind the opposition, which he's been doing all day.

Keep playing the blame game -while getting it ridiculously wrong - as it's endlessly entertaining.

So basically you acknowledge that he's playing the role the manager has asked him to play, and is playing it well, but you still decide to criticise him?

Indeed. No need to make any subs yet. We've dominated them to be honest and they are noticibly weaker without Samba. An early goal should open the floodgates.

Nobody coming on

David Dunn on for Rovers
