Carling Cup
Blackburn v Man Utd, 20:00

Blackburn are in a good run at the moment, besides they want to seek revenge of 2003 league cup semi,,,so we need to be focused & no more strange formations please.

It's on my birthday so hopefully we will win this one. However it usually ends with a draw, which would be good score this Wednesday considering that 2nd leg is at Old Trafford. But..

0-2
Rooney, Ruud.

Bullish Bellamy targets United

Craig Bellamy says he is confident that Blackburn Rovers can shock Manchester United in the upcoming Carling Cup semi-final.

Whilst Mark Hughes' side eased to a 3-0 win over QPR on Saturday, Sir Alex Ferguson's men only narrowly avoided an FA Cup shock of the highest magnitude as they drew 0-0 with non-league Burton Albion.

The Red Devils have the chance to exorcise the ghost of the embarrassing result in the first leg of the Carling Cup clash on Wednesday, but Bellamy insists that Rovers can heap further misery on the men from Old Trafford.

"I'm really looking forward to the United game now," said Bellamy.

"We're not only getting results but we're also playing well and I think we've really got a chance.

"I've played in the Scottish FA Cup final and was part of the Newcastle team who reached the Uefa Cup semis two seasons ago, but I've never played in an English final before.

"The two games against United give me an opportunity to address that."

Hopefully not the whole first team today and i would like Rooney not to plat today. We have far more important game on saturday

---------Howard------
Gary---Wes---Rio----Evra
Ronaldo-Fletch-Smith-Giggs
------Rossi---Saha-----
Bench:
Ruud, Rooney, Scholes, Silves, VDS

Gary needs to play, as Pedersen is their most dangerous player.

I think SAF will play something similar to this... Rests possibly more vulnurable /key like Scholes, Ronaldo and Rooney. Possibly plays RVN instead of O'shea, with Smith dropping into midfield. I'm sure he'll be thinking that if Fletch & O'Shea can hold Arsenal, they should be able to take care of Blackburn. Given his pre-match interviews, sounds like he's going to containment, and then break em down at Old Trafford.

----------Howard
----Gary - Wes - Rio - Richardson
Park - Fletcher - O'Shea - Giggs
------------Smith
------------Saha

Subs: VDS, Bardsley, Ronaldo, Rooney, Silvestre

Don't think we'll see Evra, definitely not Vidic, just yet.

I wouldn't mind the team beeing something like this:

------------Saha------Rossi-------------
--Richardson--Smith---Fletcher----Ronaldo
---Evra-----Brown-----Piqué-----Bardsley
---------------Howard------------------

It's probably good for him to get a game under is belt before the City match. It's been a while since he's played now.

Don't se what's so serious about that line-up though. 2-3 players there who would start in our strongest XI.

Sorry wancolos I didn't mean you by that, some people think it is our cup final which is pathetic.

----------------------Howard-------------------

--Bardsley------Brown---------Pique------Evra--

--Martin-------Fletcher-------Smiff------Giggs---

--------------Rooney-------------------------

----------------------Rossi---------------
