Bluemoon goes into Meltdown

I honestly don't get it... did Guardiola really say that he wanted to play for City? Did Bony ever say that he dreamt as a child to put on their jersey? Are they aware of where City was at that time?

I can't stand such comments as they're 1000% bullshit. Noone believes a word of it, not even the most deluded fan can hear that and think "ohh he did, how nice". Say that they've joined a nice club with lots of potential for silverware and such. But don't feed us bullcrap like you've got a tattoo of the club hidden somewhere on your body... I know it's media training and such, but seriously

But perhaps the delusion is stronger in some people?

The upcoming friendly will be interesting when its a sea of red and a smattering of blue shirts.

Much like the Madrid Vs United friendly a couple of seasons back. That was funny.

If you repeat it enough then eventually it will stick. The younger generations won't know where City was 15-20 years ago. Much like the generation born after 2000 have grown up only seeing Chelsea's success and an 15-18 year old might say it's been a childhood dream of mine to follow in Drogba's footsteps and play for Chelsea.

I hope you're right. The current odds have them as 2nd favs, without the Pogba signing factored in (if it happens). Don't forget they'll get a lot of 'help' next season. You don't spend that kind of money without a media wankfest which inevitably trickles down to our wonderful premier league referees.

I don't think they have enough to beat us on a level playing field but I do expect some 'questionable' decisions.

Yes, signing Pogba would get the refs on our side. Guess they forgot the 4/5 decisions they got in the final 5/6 weeks to help them into 4th last season.

As true as there are career-ending injuries, there are also career-ending transfers.
Pogba's signing with the rags is definitely one.
I hope he enjoys seing his career taking a u-turn for the worse, fights for 4th spot while we rack-up silverware.
And by the way, it has to be the worst peace of football-business in history.
I swear if we ever buy-back Boateng for anything close to £50M we would be the mendatory laughing stock of the whole media-rag-sucking-balls pack.

The best thing about all of this is 1. They scraped 4th on goal difference. 2. Thier squad is in such a mess they couldnt even join the bidding war for Pogba if they wamted to. So much to patch up over there and Gundogan is a bit of a luxury.

If City signed Boateng for £50m i'd shit a large brick.

What? How does that work?

"Jose's press conference got a lot of buzz in the papers. Better give them a penalty in the 2nd half."

:wenger:

Toure actually playing for Pep. this is too good to be true

That was brilliant, especially Marca's photoshopped front page.

I'll never forget that

How It was in real life on the left

Marca got their hands on it and turned it to that on the right

It'll be a sea of red vs city anyway that's for sure

Ha ha, typical City numpties. Yeah we know it's only a friendly but they would have been lapping it up if Guardiola had won on his return. You can imagine all the comments can't you. "We've got him now". "The sign of things to come"...blah, blah, blah.

They're all trying to convince themselves that it was a good performance by the kids and it's a meaningless friendly (which it is of course) etc., until the reality check, followed by the customary accusations of being a rag!

"So happy I came onto the site tonight. Its really cheered me up as I thought it was the biggest load of rubbish. Accept just a warm up but we made 2 chances the whole match. Couldnt see anything positive , sorry folks."

"You`re fooling no-one."

I especially liked as bit of commentary first half:

So, are any of the City youth prospects impressing you?
No, not really.

It is a meaningless warm up match, but you're absolutely right they'd be wanking themselves over the narrative if they had a positive result.

One of the saddest, most pathetic posts from BlueMoan on the Pogba saga...

"There's no need to be bitter by calling him shit, or deluded by saying he won't improve their team. Pogba is, deservedly, widely-acknowledged to be one of the very best young players in Europe and many here would've been over the moon to see him join our ranks. That said, we'll have to live with the fact that he's chosen to go to the rags and honestly, I think it says a huge amount about him. He talks about being a legend, being remembered, winning as many titles as possible. Even after a relatively crappy Euros, he has the power and influence to basically pick his club... and he goes to a team that aren't even in the CL, are famously on a downward spiral and could easily be battling it out for mid-table next season. Honestly, it's f***ing mental. Nothing about this deal shows off his alleged "winning mentality" or desire to go down in history as the greatest midfielder the game has seen. No... instead it reeks of a power-hungry young man blinded by inordinate sums of cash.

At least we can take solace in the fact that this might genuinely be the funniest story in the rags' recent history. Let a lad go and then break the world transfer record for him again a few years later. How embarrassing. Of course the media will do their best to paper over those humiliating cracks, but no City fans will be fooled. Just hope we can get a few big names through the door now and focus on ourselves."

He started off sounding like a normal fan as well....
We are on a downward spiral yet finished on the same points as them...Does he even realise

Yeah I started reading and thought fair play to the guy...then whoooah!! Suddenly took a dark turn! Battling for mid-table really made me laugh!

Blinded by inordinate sums of cash??? This coming from a City fan!

Comedy gold.

Resident ITK* Ric (* = know feck all) claimed Sane fee was all done just add ons to go.

Then Pep himself says the distance between the clubs is massive, and they do not have many possibilities to get him. Why do people believe the guy, him and Tolmie are about as ITK as me, and i know feck all

What's the latest on Pogba mate?

What I like the least is how illiterate some of them are. And that coming from me whose first language isn't English. I go mad when I see someone write bad Croatian as well as English. Call me a grammar nazi but I can't take it.

This reads like a United WUM trying to get on their good side
