Bluemoon goes into Meltdown

But at what cost ? He spent 47 million on Stones, 15 on Bravo, took the 20 million risk with Gundogan, 27 million Sane isn't doing much. Aguero isn't going to come back to form. And now they think Jesus is the messiah.

£17m on bravo and £43m on Sane.

There's a City fan on Guardian's comments section by the name of BlueMoon. He really does my head in. Bloody unbearable tosspot. I've seen some bitter rivalries over the years but something about the worst of City fans really makes me want to inflict something painful on them.

What does quitting the EPL after one season say about him as a manager and person?
Especially after agreeing to the move close to two years before he signed.

You also have to wonder (in the hypothetical scenario where Guardiola fails) what City's owners make of the Barcelona revolution. They have spent ungodly amount over the last 5-6 years, not only on the team but also on the scouting and the academy, in the hope of emulating Barcelona. They hired Ferran Soriano and Txiki Begiristain to run the show. Their record in the transfer market has been appalling- the money they've spent on Fernando, Dzeko, Jovetic, Mangala, Otamendi and others who haven't made the grade was all probably tolerated because they were the goose that was going to lay the golden egg i.e bring Guardiola to Manchester City. They've basically spent the last 4 years chasing Pep, and all their activities have been built around the idea of Guardiola doing at City what he did at Barcelona. What happens if all of that amounts to nothing?

I think the "Barcelona revolution" or Barca way of doing things is independent of Guardiola. Tixi and Soriano genuinely believe that's the way to run a club and why they were brought in. They've done well apart from transfers. Their facilities are the best in the world, their youth teams are simply ridiculous. I think they can be relatively pleased.

The core of the team is still the one Mancini bought and it's been 3 and a half years since he was sacked.

Their transfer dealings over the last 4 years have been appalling.

So is it another rag conspiracy why they lost yesterday? I've not been over for a ganders at BM as I feel dirty afterwards.

Just had a look at their United thread just to see what they are saying.
I'm positive every time I leave that place I feel depressed and in a dark place

I can't say much for the rest of the forum, but maybe they just use that as a personal e-stress ball.
More hatred in there than ISIS...

They also have an overrated 11 thread, which mainly consists of United players, with a few Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool players.

When anybody puts a City player in there, they get ambushed
Maybe they just don't rate their players anymore so they are excused on that basis

I

I saw a quote on either Bluemoon or Dailymail from a City fan yesterday saying we play the most boring football in the league. Yet they're playing LVG style football; all possession & passing with no shots.

On the topic of exciting football, I haven't watched as much football this season as I usually do but surely in the last 10 matches we're playing the most exciting stuff? I'm back to the good old days where I can't wait to see United play.

I don't think a man Utd fan can talk much about spending a lot of cash!

I will bet money on them not using much youth...

They are in need of signings as they don't have an identity.. Its what makes them interesting.. If it wasn't for their signings they are a non entity..

True.

Abramovich and Chelsea had this same grand plan of bringing in youth. Whilst City's and Chelsea's youth teams out perform the others we wont be seeing more than half the first team made of from their academy system

Don't think Tottenham fans should talk at all, but they never seem to be capable of shutting up, so expecting a United fan on a United forum not to talk about the spendings of a toy-club that has spent more than United, and have one of the two best squads in the league, with a manager that has been praised for years for his excellence and tactical know-hows on how they aren't doing brilliantly shouldn't be as far fetched as your dream world where fans of clubs who have earned their money and actually have had good buys this summer instead of a ton of duds and "maybe but no so far" players should shut up about the toy-clubs.

Fact is, city has spent an insane amount on every department of their club, and have regularly been considered the ones with the best squad or at the very least a capable squad to challenge for the title, but so far have 2 league titles to show for it.

I love how obsessed they are with this conspiracy everyone is against them. You have posters cancelling Sky , ones cancelling BT then posters refusing to pay BBC licence all because they feel they are anti city.

What is it they actually expect from the media? That there should be no story on any other club and every story should be on how great City are and nothing else.

Whether in football, or any other walk of life the ability to adapt is instrumental to success. I think it's a real test for Pep in this regard, he has his philosophy, but he may need to accept that counts for jack shit in this league, and that he needs to adapt. At the moment he is smelling a bit like LVG, my way or the highway, regardless of the implications.

The hype around Pep when he came, the expectation that he would just have to turn up and they would walk every competition was ridiculous. He wasn't that good at Bayern and he was never going to have it all his own way here, especially in a league where his style isn't that we'll suited.

As much as I'm sure they're talking out of their asses and don't have the balls to do that, isn't that something you could conceivably go to court over? I'd love to see that. "It's all the rags' fault, your honour. If they hadn't given backhanders to people in the media, we'd be getting more positive press, Pep and the lads would feel more confident in the philosophy, and we'd win everything. I've printed off 1000 pages of a website called BlueMoon to support my claims."

Jesus, for the 2nd half of last season Sky were practically carving City on this years trophy like it was a given he'd roll everyone over.

Their agenda thread is a great read for a really good laugh.

Still booing the CL anthem when your new manager told you get over it and to let it go, that will endear you to the masses

Of course we can because we are talking about how well the money was spent, at least during the time of the current managers. Bravo, Stones, Sane and Gundogan v Zlatan, Pogba, Bailly and Mkhitaryan ?

PS - 3 posts per day restriction, so can't follow up much.

The conspiracy nuts going totally mental right now in their premier league match day forum..Oddly enough they can't recall any sort of decision that went against united recently

They're not happy at all, convinced its bent lol.

Please have a look at their PL fixtures thread in the general forum.

I genuinely think right now that Big-nose or Pogshit could pull out a baseball bat and twat the oppo goalie to death and the Ref would see nothing wrong with it!

..proceeds to insert gif where the ref gives a freekick against Pogba as evidence for his claim.

If we had the referees on our side like United do I genuinely believe we would win this league by 20 points.

Deliberate cheating at the highest level of the English game week in, week out.

He 'accidentally' intercepted a west ham back pass today. I doubt it will be reported or shown on motd.
He was motm today for the scum

It's developing into at least an offside goal per game, and it seems their players are immune from any kind of sanction for which the ref rips off his pocket to get out the card for other teams.

Ibrahimovic would be in single figures of goals scored if you removed the ones he's either fouled a player for or been offside during. It's ridiculous.

Pep is right to be raging, there's clear corruption and an obvious agenda and it's getting more blatant by the week.

The conspiracy theorists are out in force tonight. Apparently all the referee decision have been going our way all season.

This referee conspiracy hasn't done us much good in the last three seasons.

You'd think with the referees in our pocket we'd have won a title or two in that time.

mod note.

Calling a City player a wanker is not on at all.

Post removed and next time a warning issued.

feck me you would think we where ragcafe at times on here!
