This is always going to be a tough fixture. Team full of cnuts and they're - OF COURSE - hitting form as we're about to visit. Think we need to fill the team with a lot of tough players to meet them physically.

away to bolton
away to bayern
home to chelsea

hope fergie doesnt rest players against bolton..

chelsea will have the week off before our game

fecking Bolton, shit for 36 games but roll their sleeves up for 2. United home and away

I'm sure OCIG will catch on in Bolton as it did in Burnley if they turn us over

van der Sar

Rafael
Ferdinand
Vidic
Evra

Valencia
Fletcher
Scholes
Giggs

Rooney
Berbatov

SUBS: Kuszczak, Neville, Evans, Carrick, Park, Nani, Diouf.

Spot on. I used to work with a Bolton fan who said the fans would forgive the players anything if they can just beat United. The numpty actually regarded United as their biggest rivals, rather than Blackburn or even Bury!

Team should be....

GK: VDS

RB: Rafael
CB: Ferdinand
CB: Vidic
LB: Evra

RM: Valencia
CM: Carrick
CM: Gibson
LM: Nani

CF: Rooney
CF: Berbatov

Subs: PIG, Evans, Neville, Scholes, Giggs, Fletcher, Park

Rest the senior members of the squad as well as Fletch and Park as we'll need them all for Bayern

0-2 Berbatov & Rooney with the goals

Valencia---Scholes--Fletcher----------Nani
---------Berbatov------Rooney-----------

Subs : PIG, Neville, Evans, Park, Carrick, Diouf, Giggs.

Time for a Berba hat trick. Or at least a couple. Bolton seem to be hitting some form so it won't be an easy one but a win for us definitely.

1-4 United with Berba and Rooney to score 2 each

Where do you get that idea from?

We regularly beat the living shit out of Bolton. The amount of times we have put four past them.

Cant wait for this one, my first away in fecking ages.

I'm going for 3-0 win, Rooney x2 + Fletch

In fairness, Bolton fans detest united for some reason, not sure why

I see no problems for United here, however, credit where credit is due.I rate Owen Coyle and think he is doing a good job at Bolton and has them playing good football.

I actually read that as:

I'm going for a 3-0 win, Ronney x2 + Plech

We dominated them at Old Trafford and could have been 5 or 6 ahead before they score. In typical United fashion though, we made it difficult for ourselves.

I don't see them causing us too many problems. 2-0 United, Berbatov to score both.

I'm always especially nervous for this fixture.

I fancy us to beat them but i expect Cahill to be back which will be a big boost.

Foster
Rafael - Vidic - Ferdinand - Evra
Valencia - Scholes - Carrick - Giggs
Rooney
Berbatov

Rest vdS, Fletcher, and Park for Bayern and Chelsea; I'd love it if Evra could be rested as well, but starting both Rafael and Fabio in an important away fixture seems a bit...well, insane? Anyway, 2-0 to us, Berbatov to score, roll on the Germans!

van der Sar
Rafael Ferdinand Vidic Evra
Valencia Fletcher Carrick Giggs
Berbatov Rooney

Kuszczak; Neville, Evans; Scholes, Park, Nani; Diouf

I'd like us to get a commanding lead early on, so Fletcher, Evra, and Rooney can come off for Scholes, Evans, and Nani/Diouf. Obviously, it never works like that, but it might :P

Bolton 0-3 Man Utd

Berbatov, Rooney, Vidic.

I bloody hate the away games against Bolton :(

Like to see this team:

VdS, Rafael, Ferdinand, Vidic, Evra, Valencia, Fletcher, Scholes, Park, Berbatov, Rooney

Dear God no!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have a sneaky feeling that we'll start with Giggs and Obertan on the wings.

Scholes could start too.

I think, we'll get to see:

v Bolton

Berbatov - Rooney
Giggs - Carrick - Scholes - Nani
Evra - Vidic - Evans - Rafael
VDS

v Bayern

Rooney
Nani - Park - Valencia
Fletcher - Carrick
Evra - Vidic - Ferdinand - Neville
VDS

vs Bolton

VDS
Evra
Vidic
Rio
Rafel
Nani
Scholes
Park
Fletcher
Valencia
Berbatov

Subs: Pig, Rooney, Giggs, Carrick, Evans, Neville, Obertan

We can haul them over without Rooney i say.

VDS
Rafael, Rio, Vida, Evra
Nani, Carrick, Scholes, Giggs
Berbatov, Diouf

Bench: TK, Valencia, Fletcher, Rooney, Evans, Neville, Park

Why is everyone whining about how hard a game Bolton is?

We habitually turn them over.
Well, we lost 1-0 at the Reebok in 2007 and we won 0-1 last season with an injury-time winner from Berbatov. So our last two visits have been tricky ones I'd say. Admittedly, in '06/07 we battered them 0-4, and the year before that won 1-2. If Rooney's missing I wouldn't put it past Bolton, but we really should still win this and I think we will.

If Rooney's out, we should play:

van der Sar
Rafael Ferdinand Vidic Evra
Valencia Fletcher Carrick Nani
Giggs
Berbatov
--
Kuszczak; Neville, Evans; Scholes, Park, Obertan; Diouf

Maybe Gibson on the bench instead of Obertan or Park.. Rooney could still be on the bench instead of them though, if he's 'rested'. The creativity from Valencia, Nani, Giggs, and Berbatov just has to find a way through at some point. While a hard-working central midfield combined with a near first choice defence should be enough to hold off any Bolton attacks.

I'd like to experiment a bit at Bolton I think.

I hope to god we don't play a shite team against them. It is not an easy place to go and if we put out a team that is weakened too much, we will lose our advantage that we got last week.
