For Rodgers he has no doubt taken us up a level.
Puel deserves credit for building this team, he is the manager who moulded the new team but suffered from been unable to break down the weaker teams in the EPL. That was what was preventing us breaking top 6, as the top 6 usually win all their games against bottom 10.
Rodgers record against the bottom 10 is significantly improved, we even won away to Burnley with 10 men which is what would be expected of a top 6 team. We still play possession but the game is now less predictable we now capable of changing our pace and style mid game on a whim. Which is what teams do under top managers. So against Newcastle we started slow, and made them feel comfortable, then we went up a gear and they didn't know what to do. When they went down to 10 men, we then had that killer instinct top teams have which I have never seen from Leicester before. They were for large parts of the game pegged in their own box and at full time had no shots on target.
Top 6 is the target, I am hoping for top 4 and another CL season. Obviously with Klopp and Pep on fire a second title win is not going to happen those two teams are on a different level. So we targeting 3-6 in the league.
In regards to Liverpool fans, most I have communicated with actually do rate Rodgers, the moment he joined they predicted good things. There is one fan who hates him and she puts their 2nd place down to Saurez. But all the rest I have spoken to rate him.
There is the obvious issue, Rodgers is not loyal. If he is prepared to leave Celtic mid season, then he will do the same to us. Right now Man Utd, is in turmoil and Spurs may do a manager swap as well. Either one could come in for him. I would like to think we get at least 2 seasons out of him at the very least but in modern football players and managers consider that a long time.
