There isn't a single person on the planet that can tell you exactly what leaving the eu looks like, it has never happened, there is no historic data to look back on.
Theresa May will only get 10mins to 'discuss' Brexit with the EU27
Sums the EU up really!

We have them too. I was more referring to the picking industry. We call it zero hour contracts.
Hows the pension? We have them too. I was more referring to the picking industry.
ZH contracts have been discussed before and there were good for and against arguments. And when you do get work, is the hourly rate minimum wage at least? Picking fruit isnt. My neighbour has a 16hr pw contract and my mrs 24hrs, they can do more if there is demand and there often is. The money during those hours is pretty good.
About as good as my fragmented pensionHows the pension?

I think Eastern European migrants were the biggest contributers to the economy because they were generally young so healthy, had fewer children and often returned to their home nations. I.e. they paid taxes but were not an economic burden on the state through use of public services like hospitals & schools.
I would retire in the uk, just never want to work there again, ever. Most EU migrants are like that. Lets face it no one in the right mind would retire in the UK. Hence why there are a million or so British immig erm expats living elsewhere.

Well I find it extremely cheap apart from smokes and public transport. I would also take out private health insurance. The weather is something we cant change but my mrs hates warm climates.I loved the UK but I wouldn't retire there. Its far too cold, wet and expensive for my tastes to do so. The NHS is at its brink too which of course is bad news for anyone whose old and not rich.
Don't take me wrong, I wouldn't retire in Malta either. There's a construction boom that is driving me nuts. However its a great place to raise a family in. The country is safe, there's free child care, free tertiary education etc.

So the argument is different here. It’s about whether the Govt is able to EXECUTE what is, a very simple proposition (of leaving the EU and it’s control over us). Most of the planet lives outside of it, so it IS achievable (albeit with bumps across the way).
The UK is most definately not extremely cheap - we get ripped off completely with food prices, booze, etc.

yes, imagine all that tax money flowing in from the orchards, what is it, 50p pw?
Food prices are amazing, a giveaway compared to here mate. therefore I always take 1 empty suitcase when I go there, to stock up.The UK is most definately not extremely cheap - we get ripped off completely with food prices, booze, etc.

Its amazing how the slaves are ignored in the figures, I'm sure highly skilled people pay lots of tax and get a fair wage but what about the not so skilled? Should we just forget they exist? Where the uk building industry relies on eastern Europeans to exist, the Dutch builders I've had at my house have nothing but contempt for them, and this at a time when there is enough work for everyone. It's amazing how many of them work in orchards, all year round as well.
NL, and the choice in supermarkets back home is amazing.Compared to where? Anytime I go on holiday around Europe I'm always stunned at how cheap the food and booze is.
Yes. Because nothing has been discussed in depth since the referendum
And using The Express as a source is only slightly better than using The Heil or Sun.
Express is as reliable as shonen jump
I've informed the IND alreadyRemind me never to live in NL.

What? It’s a fact she’s only getting 10 minutes, I just happened to link to an Express article about it. There are many many many articles saying the same, google it. You think it’s fake? Jesus Christ stop being so tedious!
Ideally replaced by Brits over time ...but more realistically, sure, loosening up visas for folks that businesses need via points based system. This happens in most countries around the world (outside of the EU), why is it so hard? You do know who is responsible for enforcing the minimum wage.
Ignoring that, do you think that practice would disappear just because the Eastern Europeans go back home. Someone will replace them or the firms go bust.
Well they should go bust if they if they wont pay a locals salary, you seem quite happy with keeping things ticking over on low wages yet you don't believe anyone drives down wages, quite a contradiction. You do know who is responsible for enforcing the minimum wage.

Don't worry about it, Oscie has been basing all his points based on what he reads in the Mail, even giving high praise to the new editor. He hasn't done to badly out of it.What? Bingo, you're getting it. There isn't actually a fruit business at all if 21st century salarys are paid. Slavery is not the answer, closure is.The type of work we are talking about here, fruit picking and the like have thousands of vacancies but no requests from Brits because they've never wanted to do it and they'll get more on the dole. Fruit picking is never going to pay high wages.
Brits, so long as the salary is minimum or above. Also the UK are still bragging how low unemployment is so who will be doing all the jobs if there were not all these immigrants.
It shouldn't take ten minutes to say we "we want our cake and eat it"
Well tbh I’d be a bit draconian - dry up the benefits and say ‘look there are huge numbers of jobs available so we recommend you go apply for some of those’ - there needs to be a culture change amongst Brits (if you are correct with your stereotyping of Brits not wanting to do jobs). The type of work we are talking about here, fruit picking and the like have thousands of vacancies but no requests from Brits because they've never wanted to do it and they'll get more on the dole. Normal paid work will be filled by the most apt to do the job regardless of nationality. As figures show immigrants put in more than they take out. Of course there are low paid and high paid, same as the natives of the country.
If an immigrant is unable to support himself the government have a right and always have to send them back but the government don't tell the people this.
