Brexited | the worst threads live the longest

Do you think there will be a Deal or No Deal?

The Tory Brexiters don't want one either and I'm not convinced all Labour does either.
labour's hilary benn is in charge of the select committee and would oversee the exit process if the parliament took control from the government, why wouldn't they want the brexit that Jeremy's been going on about for the last 2 years?

Perfect example of some peoples idiocy isn't it.
The leave campaign sold some gullible souls the idea that immigration was all the fault of the UK being in the EU - how can we stop them when we have free movement of people...so to reduce immigration we have to leave the EU don't we....

Meanwhile the remain campaign tried to convince people that immigration was positive for the economy.

But, as a result of the government's austerity policy, public services have been cut back to unsustainable levels to balance the books (another failed policy) the cause was incorrectly blamed on immigration. AKA the EU was the problem.

Now the truth is becoming evident that myth is exposed. Wondering who will be blamed now.

They didn't have the EU to blame before 1973. But it was a problem then too.

But the version he wants is not possible as has been pointed out dozens of times already. May wanted her cake and to eat it too. Just because Corbyn says it , it doesn't make it any more possible.

Correct.
Despite all this, I am optimistic that the millions of intelligent and hard working Brits will make Brexit work whatever the outcome.

If Ole can turn Manchester United round I am hopeful we can do the same for our country.

Could take years.

Ordinary people should never have been left in the position whereby they are worrying about their jobs, pensions or whether they will have enough meds to control their diabetes etc

Disgusting leadership going back years

I know you keep quoting this but they're not going to change the rules just for Jeremy. Yes a CU/SM solution would break the deadlock, the negotiations , however, might not quite go the way Jeremy expects, as they didn't for Theresa.
Thanks for clearing that up, I'll let the President of the European Council know it won't work.

No it's just to the extension, the date is arbitrary. A country can't be forced to leave and have the right to withdraw that was the ruling.

Interested in sources that say otherwise

Sorry don't have any to hand, as I said in my post I wasn't sure this was the case. There is so much to read about Brexit and related issues, and much of it is opinion rather than fact (something you might say I was guilty of!), but it did seem logical that if the whole 27 have to agree to the extending of the date, then they would have to agree any changes made in that extension and if they didn't agree then when the extension date runs out, does the default case apply once more?

Anyway you seemed to have sorted that, so thanks!

You know it won't work as well as I do. You were laughing at May's attempts at negotiations, he's trying for the same thing just worded differently.

It's quite clear the EU are far more open to Labours position and for good reason, not every element will be achievable but the red lines at least work as an achievable path forward and as per the NI special arrangement which was "unachievable" they might be some surprising concessions.

It's all moot though as it hasn't and won't pass parlaiment because a lot of it is brexit in name only.

Totally agree. All for the sake of a pack of lies and unrealistic promises.
When you boil it down the two prime culprits are Farage and the worst PM ever smiling David Cameron.

WTF is this shite:

Gammonball Run!

If they are so dam sure that "the will of the people" is to leave, then shouldn't they be saying bring it on? They leavers are running scared, they are terrified that there will be an overwhelming majority for remain. That's the only explanation I can think of why they are so dead against a 2nd referendum.

It's a bit like the whole call a general election thing, you aren't going to call an election unless you think you are going to win it.

Another Grayling special.

Good job people like him are still in the cabinet whilst May sacks Ministers for having the temerity to propose amendments to bills that she, err, whips the government to vote for.

Heard today the main protagonists aren’t even waking the whole distance but getting bussed from location to location and people being charged £50 to walk, what a joke.

Yes they're open for the UK to remain in the CU and SM but that's not what Corbyn wants.

He wants to be able to act out their own trade policy and not accept the 4 freedoms, he hasn't mentioned how much he's going to pay for the privilege and as he says he wants to keep all the benefits of being in the EU.

As you said it'll never get through parliament as it has already been voted down twice. It's a joke.

Where did it go wrong? How did we end up here? We have a prick who travels by private jet complaining about 'elites'.

Also, it is almost as if he wants something to kick off on his stupid march by starting in Sunderland where some peoples' jobs are in peril with Brexit uncertainty probably contributing.

"the people must show the elite who is in charge".....says the cavalcade of crisis-capitalist elites.:wenger:

The Trump administration has taken an aggressive posture towards the UK on post-Brexit trade talks, demanding greater access to the UK market for its agricultural products and guarantees that London would not manipulate its currency.

Furthermore, the US is looking for the UK to remove “unwarranted barriers” related to “sanitary and physiosanitary” standards in the farm industry.

Drop your food standards and let us flood your markets with garbage. WOW!!! Brexit trade deals sound so good for Britain.

Congrats UK, you're now the "banter club" of global politics. And I say that as a bloke living in Australia, a country that changes Prime Minister every Thursday night.

Spot on about the elites! Saw JRM say that he’s accept Aussie beef without checks because he thinks it’s good

But they will ask nicely
