Bundesliga 13/14

So you somehow missed the games vs. Neapel and Marseille in the CL and several games in the Bundesliga like both ties vs. Schalke??

He is not as good as Schmelzer yet, but there are a lot of signs that he could become a class full back in the future. People need to remember that Durm was a striker before Klopp began his transformation in the summer. He will need time to gain the same defensive stability as a natural FB.

There are infact a lot of parallels between him and Pisczcek, who has a similar history as the youngster.

I didn't miss those games and I said he was decent but I'm just not seeing him ever being a really good FB. Naturally I could be wrong, never would have though Pisczeck would ever be a good player when he was still playing for Hertha but so far I'm just not seeing him being a top FB in the future.

Then we have to agree to disagree on that matter. I see a player with good pace, mentality, stamina, great crossing and a solid passing game. He obviously still has flaws in the terms of positioning, which also failed him in this game, but this is something a player can learn with experience and a good coach. Like I said, this is for me the Piszczek of 2010 or Großkreutz (who adapted extremely fast because of his high intelligence on the pitch) when the latter began to play these position, all over again.

124 goals in 28 games so far (62 scored, 62 conceded )
4.4 goals per game

They're definitely an entertaining side if nothing else. If they can get in better defenders they could move up the table. Didn't Firmino sign a new contract?

Not everybody can adapt to top-level defending, especially at his age. Else we'd see plenty of good fullbqcks, but we don't. Having Durm succeed involves a lot of wishful thinking at the moment.

Braunschweig takes the lead and what a beauty it was! Leverkusen ...:rolleyes:

A little bit of hope and some patience? Sure, but wishful thinking? Not really. You ignore the key part here, which is Jürgen Klopp, who is one of the best talent developer in the world and has proven it already. If he has not developed at the same time next year, then he probably won´t in the long run, but now? Way too early to tell.

Lewandowski with a great strike, but hits the post.

Schalke could be ahead of Dortmund if the results stay as is. They've been on good form lately.

Might go walk the dog so I can get back in time for the Nurnberg game tbh. Expecting that to be a good game considering it's another relegation 6 pointer.

Bayern players getting angry at a Hoffenheim player for blocking the ball after a foul has been called. Amazing that they are still this determined to win this game even after already winning the league and being in front. That's the kind of spirit you want to have in your team.

Ffs. Focus you idiots.

Firmino scores, 3-3 now.

Great goal, great player. We need a gif of that bit of skill by Ribery (?) prior to the goal

EDIT: Maybe Gotze

Or why Neuer's not in goal, he's the biggest party beast of all.
