Bundesliga 2015/2016

Badstuber just posted on Twitter that Dante is off. It's probably for the best given his performances last season, but I'm still a bit sad. :(

Edit: It's official. 3 year contract with Wolfsburg. All the best, Dante!

He already misses the yearly dream match Bayern plays in 20 minutes against a fan club in Deggendorf. The transfer sum is told to be 4m EUR.

Is my memory deceiving me or is it really an especially busy end of the transfer window by Bundesliga standards?
And what about those Yarmolenko rumours? He seems a bit high profile for a bench spot on an EL team.

rumours indicate:
Wolfsburg in:
Draxler, Praet (both seem kinda serious)

Schalke out:
Draxler

Dortmund out:
Ramos, Kuba, Kirch (Paderborn), Dudziak to St. Pauli (already done, with a buyback clause)
Kampl to Leverkusen (already done for ~€11m)

Dortmund in:
Yarmolenko (don't think there are any reputable sources for or against it - at least in German)?

Some need to spend some Sheikh money...

And Dortmund has a new coach. Then it is pretty normal that the players first stay as they think they might get a new chance - and that they after some weeks go for transfers if they do not.

Yeah I know it's basically the de Bruyne (and maybe Son) sale putting some things into motion and Dortmund restructuring their bench.
Still.. I feel like these things are usually sorted out much earlier.

So it starts at Schalke, like it did at Stuttgart. Big-spending no fiscal responsibility Heldt starting to sell off assets. Selling a young world champion to a direct rival in Wolfsburg.

If a player really wants to leave you cannot hold him. Draxler was since awhile only a question of somebody paying the necessary transfer sum.

Well first of all, Yarmolenko can play both winger positions and as striker on a very high level. Even if he is at first just number 5 for the front four positions at the beginning, all it takes is one injury, one player dropping in form and he instantly starts. From what I know of Yarmolenko I also see him as ambitious enough to fight for a starting spot and if he brings his high level abilities on the pitch, he could replace for example Kagawa there. His incredibly strong left foot is something Tuchel is openly searching for and his more indivualistic approach, his ability to beat a man with his dribbling skills is something we don´t have to that extend since Reus moved into more of a playmaking role in the last two years.

And with all due respect, we are not some EL team, we are a CL team which had the chance to win national titles every season for five straight seasons. One season of massive underperforming does not take away from the status we reclaimed in the last half decade. Nobody who currently watches us would think we would not play CL, which is also the reason we are going into the EL as one of the main favourites.

In Germany there is only one badly written BILD article and some talk by Sky. On the other hands, the Ukrainian media nearly confirm the transfer with some Italian papers stating it as well.

The main reason why I could see this transfer happening is that Yarmolenko got himself Mino Raiola as agent a few weeks ago, who also consults Mkhitaryan. Given how Mkhitaryan often stated, how thankful he was for his treatment in Dortmund and his good relationship with coach Tuchel, it could be the deciding factor.

All in all, he is not a player we desperately need, but who would certainly add quality in the offense. The only thing I´m certain of is, that if Kuba (who is closely linked to Stuttgart at the moment) leaves we will sign an offensive midfieler in this window.

@Sphaero , how do you feel about Kuba leaving? Still good enough for us? He was so amazing in 12/13 I remember, unfortunately he got really held back by injuries.

I love Dortmund's stadium and the atmosphere. Always excellent.

If he would manage to stay healthy for a longer time, he would still bring something to the game as rotation and impact player as he is the closest we have to a classic winger. Sadly, similar to Schweinsteiger leaving for United, this transfer would hurt more on the emotional level than on the pitch.

What has been said?
If I'm not mistaken it was just Robben commenting on Costa's trickery against Leverkusen when we were 3-0 up. That we should respect our opponents etc.

A good advise. If he pulls something like that too often the players will start to go more for the bone than the ball.

Berlin unsurprisingly with a freakingly defensive formation.

So, it seems Wolfsburg have added Dante, replaced both Perisic and De Bruyne and still have about 50 million left from their sale. Good business there. A lot of people wrote them off in the past few days.

Ah cheers. He has been all praise for Costa so that's good friendly advice.

We're playing risky football, once an opponent gets a good opportunity, it usually is a hell of an opportunity.

Tuchel not happy with the performance. Berlin very well organized.

Brilliant pass from Kagawa to set up Dortmund's second goal.

That is a fine goal. Kagawa looking so much better this season.

Madwinger would be proud. Great pass. Unban Madwinger so he can start Kagawa bpitw campaign

Yeah it's really cruel to keep him banned now that Kagawa actually seems to be performing well again

Kagawa slowly returning to his form from his first Dortmund spell. Good to see.

Looked offside to me 2-1 Hertha

Honestly, it is no fecking miracle that there is so much diving in the league. How can you not punish such a blatant dive?

Heh i saw that without replay, after replay it was clear. Dortmund trying to break world record of squandered chances

This joke of a ref and our offensive players do their best to keep the game close until the last minute.
